Tight game. The Leicester bench seemed to swing it for them.

yeah the Leicester bench was a major factor in their win but I'm disappointed Ulster didn't come away with anything as I thought they deserved atleast 1 point.

I agree with that - I think the scoreline slightly flatters Leicester
Take away the try and that'd be more accurate

Proud of the effort and pleased of the building blocks - but that should have been at least one point, and it wasn't due to our own faults, namely:

iHumph stuffing up two vital penalty kicks (the one in front of the posts and the touchfinder)
Too much lateral behind the gainline flimmer-flammer and telegraphed moves meant we couldn't convert the territory

iHumph wants to cop on. We have three imo serious fly-half possibilities when everyone's fit apart from him - Pienaar, Wallace and Jackson. None would be as good as seriously up for it it Humphreys but he needs to bring the A game.

Think our best hope now is for Clermont to basically ride Leicester like a horse riding a woman.

I actually think Humphreys had a good all round game and really controlled things well especially in the first half. Unfortunately Humphrey is liable to make compounded errors that really make Ulster suffer but other he is also capable of brilliance.

I think Marshall is playing superbly aswell.

Did Parling's injury look bad? The radio commentary made it sound like it was.

Edit - Apparently not.

Pretty annoyed for Ulster. Some poor decision making cost them tries. Best was epic! he was my man of the match

Ulster's problem wasn't Humphreys, it was the lack of cutting edge further out. Spence isn't an inside centre. He needs to play 13 with a creative 10 and 12 inside him who can open up gaps for his powerful running. At the moment he's not as good a 13 as Cave is either. I know Ulster were forced into picking Spence at 12 due to injuries to Wallace and Marshall but they were rendered impotent because of it.

Ulster's only backline move was the inside ball to the blindside winger. Neil Doak really needs to be replaced as backs coach at this stage because he's no longer getting the most out of the players at his disposal.

Small Package was awesome, watching him hound down Tuilagi and bring him to earth like a terrier bringing down a badger will always be one of my favourite memories.

On iHumph, he was far from all bad, his tactical kicking was lovely, getting the backline over the gainline... wasn't. Mincer and Pienaar would have helped, but iHumph is a big boy and should be able to cope better with that, and with Spence who does cut down 12 options a fair bit... but Spence can crash and he give for a wrap-around/make the inside pop himself, hell he can even pass a bit. Chip over the top.

He certainly didn't lose us the match, but the two biggest downers he was both culpable in.

Again, another big crowd for the Tigers.

21,473 at the 24K capacity Welford Road stadium. at 89% capacity. They need a bigger stadium IMO.
