HEC: Bath - Leinster (11-12-2011, 12:45)

Fitzgerald looked good I thought. Not really "another" quiet game for Healip thought he was alright 6 maybe 7 out of 10 and wasn't he MOM against Glasgow.

Must say that Stuart Barnes has a serious man crush on Sexton imagine if he was English...

Fitzgerald had some good moments, but I felt (especially in the first half) for every great thing he did, he'd back it up with an aimless kick, or a hospital pass etc.

I know what you mean but I think his good moments outweighed the bad ones. I remember one terrible kick and I guess you mean his pass to McLaughlin as a hopital pass but I think it was the right thing to do was actually a good pass just the tackle was a brilliant one.

Fitzgerald was ok, I've always rated him but he seems to be a player playing with a point to prove and playing particularly well because of it. (Why he wasn't selected over Geordan Murphy will forever be a mystery though). But I think he sort of summed up Leinster's performance today, it never seemed to really get out of the starting blocks - this wasn't the full on Leinster performance and next game I expect to see players like Fitz properly trashing us.

Not following the above(I'm a newcomer)-sorry if I have broken protocol, but as a Leinsterman, I wanted to congratulate and thank everybody connected with Bath Rugby, including fans, for a great sporting occasion. The game was intense, but played in a great spirit and the respect shown to Leinster kickers rarely happens these days. As an old git, it reminded me of how the game used to be played!
I hope all of you who travel to Dublin next week will enjoy the occasion and feel the same way about your reception in Lansdowne Road.
