He is English whereas Iain is Welsh. Nothing more needs to be said.

Tait is playing well today, possible Lions captain?

First name on the teamsheet, no question.

Also, Adam Thompstone's a nailed on to tour after today.

Don't care about those stats, any 10 could get that much playing in that league in that Toulon team.

As for todays points, its his job. He is over the hill and I'm going to sound like a broken record but he shouldn't be anywhere near a plane to Australia unless he's going to Tassie for his hols.

"In that league"
You mean the toughest in Europe, arguably the world?

Oh Olyy you really don't like people simply saying PO'C should tour do you?

Can't really say I know why that penalty went against Toulon to be honest...

Nah if you read what I said I wouldnt be too put out if he toured, the calls for captain are hilarious though.

Been impressed with Anthony Allen - vice captain material or...?

Fine, you want me to say it? I'll say it

I despise Wilkinson and the dewey eyed notion its 2003 all over again and because of his play A DECADE AGO he deserves to waltz onto the Lions tour.

God I despise Toulon. No notion of homegrown talent. Much as it pains me I'll be supporting Sarries in the semi's

You actually didn't say anything about him touring at all just captaining when no one on that thread had suggested it at the time..

Anyway I'll stop now, What's the score?

I think you're just jealous that Stephen Jones is the only Welsh ten nearly as good as him...

In other news, pretty exciting finish!

Except, you know, literally nobody is saying that.
His form, right now, is deserving when you compare it to other eligible/likely 10s.
He's better than Biggar, he's better than Flood, he's better than Farrell.

I don't want him to go, but to right him off because of your nation's inferiority complex (;)) is ridiculous.

Paul O'Connell was already on the plane to Australia with the Lions but his performance today put him in contention for the captaincy.

I wouldn't be upset to see him tour this time, but think there are better options

Not directly but its been the attitude whenever he is mentioned.

I'll mention the whole International thing as that what the Lions tour is, an International Test Match tour, not some jaunt playing the Brumbies or whoever.

Finally, this has nothing to do with me being Welsh and him being English, its my personal opinion as a rugby fan.

Good win in the end with a brilliant second half....interrupted by dinner...from Toulon but Leicester were brave, brilliant in defence and bloody lucky they only had two instead of the 4 yellows they deserved!!

ASM v Toulon is still on!!

If Toulon can front up against the way Leicester scrum played today and come out with a win, they can handle the Saffers who have no backs of note!!!!

Edit......Wilko is not past it but not up to a Lions tour in my opinion!

You are not a true rugby supporter I am afraid to say and very sad...............Wilko has been a wonderful player for many a long year who has suffered some amazing injuries that would have seen many players give up yet he has come back time and time again to bring and hold together a team of galacticos who, without him, would still be struggling in mid table.

He was picked to play for perhaps too long for England but that is not his fault as like Beckham, he sees playing for England as an honour not a cash cow and, even now or in 10 years, would play if they asked................I have been a critic of his but you are so, so wrong!

isn't it weird for fellas like Sheridan, the Armittages or Jonny to knock an England heavy weight out of the tournament ? I mean, they must feel a bit weird, no ?...
Judging by the score, this must have been one tight, intense affair...
