Guiness Premiership News

Now thats why the TV ref should be used a hell of a lot more. It would mean cleaner games, and a lot more decisions going for the right side.

Less frustration for us fans aswell.

Grewcock back for Bath to take on Leeds

Big game on Friday night at the Rec. Bath haven't won during the international period, having lost Grewcock and Borthwick, along with Stevens and Barkley who have had minutes of game time in the last month, and poor Mears who has had none at all!

Also notable as it's John Connolly's last game as Head Coach before he returns to Australia at the end of the month. He's done so much for the club in the last 2 and a half years in turning our fortunes around, and really deserves a big send off.

What happened to Bath last night?

Sounded tragic hence:

Bath 12 - Leeds 16

Tigers thrashed LI but I cannot remember the finaly score, something like 26 - 3.

Bath only had 10 men by the sound of it. Hard to play with only two-thirds of a team.

True, come on then Harry....Where is your comment...

Something along the lines of...

"What where you doing Bath? You have made it harder for us now...."

Something like that was aimed at us a while ago.....

No, it was aimed when you lost to Leeds.

Silly Saints making it another relegation dog-fight this year!
<
It actually not only makes it harder for Bristol, but also Saints btw. I'm pretty confident that we can stay up from what I have saw.

So can we, we are going to start today against Wuss.

We have the team, we are playing so much better...its just basic flaws in our game and not sticking to the gameplan.

And another thing, how many saints fans do have on here now?

I have counted 6 I think, highest number of club supporters....impressive..

Air Ben

Godly Saint
And I could of sworn there was another, just forgot name...no disrespect.

Gnu.

Plus a fair few Kiwis tend to follow our progress just because of players such as Reihana, Spencer, Robinson and Harding.

Northampton 21 - 22 Worcester

Northampton where robbed, plain and simple.

The ref/officials where so disgraceful and should be sited.

Northampton played really well, when they where ALLOWED to play.

Apart from the obvious it wasn't a bad game.

More soon...

Referee sin-binned Saints centre Sean Mallon for being offside nowhere near the ball.

And then took no action for a cynical trip on Carlos Spencer.

And then later gave a non existant forward pass just as we were about to attack.

Basically he was an incompetant disgrace, and never deserves to referee another Premiership match again, it turned into an absolute joke.

We should have finished the game off earlier, but yet again we played all the rugby when we were allowed, and should be celebrating a victory.

That was the biggest shock in world rugby.

How can you bin a player first time for being offside when he was like 10 metres at least away from the ruck?

Plus, we didn't give away penalties. Everytime we got penalised it was because the Wuss
players where holding on and we got done for not rolling away.

My voice has gone, from all the shouting.

And to think, Ashley Rowden was on the sideline available to come on. He is a top bloke and a great offical.

The referee killed the game, and he even had to be escorted off the pitch by stewards at half time!

Apart from that, I think we are capable of beating Tiggers next week as long as we get a REFEREE....officiating.

Northampton 29-22 Bristol

Any Saints fans go to the match? Sounds like a good match, despite you robbing it at the end. Lemi is a legend btw, next big Samoa player, despite only being Shane-Williams size.

We gifted you 12 points in the first half, but Lemi took his chances very well. Disappointed with Bristol's constant infringement in the line-out, it was getting dangerous with all the pulling going on.

Saints probably just about deserved the win, although we didn't play well, we ground out the win. Our pack fronted up well, didn't get taken apart, and it was a good battle in the backs. Jon Clarke definately came out on top against Brian Lima though.

Thought the referee, Martin Fox, was excellent today, didn't miss much on either side. Best official I've seen this season by a mile.

Pulls us 6 points clear of Leeds, if we can beat them at home in a few weeks time then it'll really boost our survival chances.

Good luck versus Leeds, it will be a big match. Good to hear about the ref as well, I'll look out for him in the future.

Personally, I'm happy with where the team are, but they need to stop giving away so many penalties, as it will cost them like today. Should make for an interesting decider when the teams meet in the Euro game later on this month.
