Gutting that this game isn't being televised, unlucky to be on the same day as Harlequins and the Tigers. Most important game of the season for both teams, going to be a cracker (hopefully).

Rob Miller is on good try scoring form at the moment, 14 tries in total this season, two more today

should he be the #10 for the Quickest XV thread?

could tour with the Saxons this summer perhaps

He has put on a ridiculous amount of pace this season. His kicking from hand can often be quite poor (sometimes it's brilliant, others naff) but I'd love to see him tour in the extended squad, not sure whether he will though. I think he'd make the Saxons if the Churchill Cup was on, but England will only be taking about half of the Saxons with them to SA (about a 40-45man squad, so the 30ish man EPS + some extras to make up the numbers for the midweek games).

Squeaky bum time - 90s on the clock, Glaws in our 22, we're 5pts ahead....

MacLeod was having a shocker kicking today, then he attempted a 50+m kick - nailed it with ease and then smashed over a dropgoal as well.
I think he was doing it to build the tension

Yes, they've knocked it on! Hopefully our scrum can hold up now...

Yyyyeeessss!
Looks like we'll be in the HEC next season :D
Not mathematically certain yet, but looking good!

Well, our season tailed off in a spectacularly crappy manner. Contenders for the playoffs and on a high from beating Toulouse/Harlequins and getting player-of-the-month on 2 consecutive months, then 5/6 losses in a row, head coach packs it in 2 weeks before the end of the season and there's now a chance we can finish 9th. :(

All of our problems pretty much coming from the forwards imo. From the way the commentary sounded, it seemed as if everyone considered themselves a center. No wonder we can't hold onto the ball long enough to give our backs any decent service.

Miller is said to have outshone Jonny May

Yep, Miller imo should be making the SA tour.

May is great, and will play for England, but not at fullback. He's been exposed there - what he offers in attack from fullback is great when your team is doing well, but he seems to struggle defensively there. Expect him to be playing as a wing from next season.

I was wondering who the next flavour of the week fullback would be now nobody is bumming Mike Brown any more. Miller it apparently.

Nah he should be in the Saxons first and then see where he is there, he isn't ready for test match rugby. Also i don't think he'll ever make an international fullback, should go back to flyhaf in the next couple of years.

I think he's a much better fullback that flyhalf, however that he can cover at 10 or 12 is certainly handy.
I think 15 will be his position as I can't see him getting past Cipriani or Macleod for the 10 shirt, but he's a shoe in for 15. He's said he's loving playing 15 as well

Yeah, because a couple of people suggesting a talented player make the extended tour squad is a travesty

I've seen these conversations before.

Next week it should be Miller at fullback, Foden on one wing, Brown on the other and Armitage at 13....

Enlighten us, who would you take as back-up to Foden, if Brown and Miller making a 45-man squad offends you so much?

To be fair, it's idiots such as Austin Healey who we have to watch for suggesting madness like that. Oh and the Sky Commentators. Most opther people realise thet even with Mike Brown in the form of his life, he still isn't as good as Foden. Miller probably isn't either, but at the moment he looks an exciting talent and we should definitely give him the benefit of the doubt.

Miller could be a handy bench option due to his ability to cover numerous positions in the backs

I would prefer a player like him on the bench to Jordan Turner-Hall

Are you saying that from an England perspective or from a Welsh point of view :p

Granted, Miller seems to be a more versatile player, whilst JTH a very strong 12. And the need for that is arguably low whilst we have a 10 who can move to 12 if needed. Guess thats why our bench option is more lkely to be someone who can play fullback such as brown or miller/armitage

Miller, coupled with Jonathan Joseph, would make a great bench partnership as they'd cover 10-15 well with an abundance of pace/flair.
Would love to see it for the midweek England games over the summer, however it won't happen as Goode will make the cut over Miller.

As we were talking about Miller :D
