General threads for rugby positions

Often I'd like to talk about a specific position, but hate starting a new thread for it. We often have threads for players and their respective positions, but often they're too specific and easily go off-topic. I would like a thread - or threads - where each position can be discussed at length, from tactics to players - everything related to a specific position - across the RU world (both NH & SH hemis included). Not sure if such a thing can be done (and not sure if so, if the same should be done for RL as well).
