I feel a little vindicated in my defence of Pivac, but it doesn't really help. He had more of the right idea to get Wales competitive but probably needed extra time to implement a more expansive style of rugby, which was basically a complete overhaul of international Welsh rugby and nurture the up and coming talent.

For me it's an odd time for Gatland to get the boot, surely the performances and results were always going this way and I saw nothing to warrant terminating his contract at this stage that wasn't obvious at any point over the last year (or longer!). May as well wait until the summer or after 6N and pick up a new coach who will be out of contract. Just messes about with Cardiff as well, the highest performing region, in losing Sherratt to Wales. Seems another poor decision.
