Game's Official 100 Greatest games of all Time.

yeah whats the criteria for this? i am taking it with a grain of salt, i just finished COD in like less than 3 days. thats shocking.

sure the graphics and stuff are cool, and there is online, but there is so much team killing you can take. [/b]

What difficulty? Surely not Veteran? Veteran is the only way to play COD games.

I finished COD in a day, it has max 8 hours of gameplay.

Once you press that online option you will never go to the story again lol! It is like....."what story?"

I remember somewhere there was this diagram that showed on each CoD released, less SP hours were included. In other words, each CoD we get we can spend less time on SP, thus more on MP.

They could at least attempt to make a lengthy single player campaign though. Halo did it, Half Life did it with Counter-Strike and TF2...With those two, I never really bothered with COD4's online (mainly because I hate being a beginner against "teh pros" who PWN me whenever I spawn :().

I'd nominate the Football Manager series, Transport Tycoon, Jonah Lomu Rugby (duh), Fifa 98, Duke Nukem 3d, GTA 3, Pac man, Half life series...
... oh and Elasto Mania B)

Seconded, soo many school hours wasted playing that game in the computer room on a hacked pc, been years since last playing though. Sure i've still got the install file somewhere on my hd.

Most definitely so. I've played FM 2007 & FM 2008 (still playing sometimes) and this game really breeds the life of football. It's quite an easy game to get into, but more harder to be successful ;). I always enjoy playing as one of the lower league clubs in England and try to get higher up (tried it with Sutton Utd).

As for GTA, it's an extremely cool game if you're onto being an criminal (kinda). I still play GTA SAMP mostly, and it really gives me the feeling you can do all stuff you can´t do in real life. That´s so fun about it.

I've just noticed something...

81 Super Smash Bros Brawl (Nintendo Wii)[/b]
Kind of impressive how a game which isnt even out yet in the country of the poll's origin can make it so high up the list.

:D Quite impressive...

Don't get me wrong, I loved CoD4's storyline. But I wouldn't say it's the BEST game of all time.

I've been having alot of fun with Quake 4 and Halo 3 recently.

Why is not present Colin McRae Dirt? In my opinion it is the most realistic autosimulator.

I like unreal tournament more than COD4 its good but too overrated.

I'm sort of an EA sports aficionado, so I'd certainly put in my top 100 list NHL 98 or 99 and Madden 2004. FIFA 2008 is one of the best in the series, but I wouldn't consider it the best soccer simulation ever; comparatively, I feel FIFA 99 and 2000 (or PES 4, for that matter) were more solid efforts than this year's edition.

Monkey Island and Grim Fandango are also a bit too low in this list for my liking. And why so many Super Mario sequels?...

it looks like a list of the 100 most selled games and not like the best 100.
GTA IV on place 4 :lol2tn:
one time again only for ps3
no pc version

by my meaning have the first parts of tomb raider to be on place 1
the new one can't mess wiht new games with new ideas etc..
but the first parts until part 5 were milestones

Actually I enjoy COD4. It is a very good game. Maybe top 10, but not number 1. Favourite game of all time was Perfect Dark. I would trade in my xbox for a working copy of this game and a console. I never liked Zelda.

Other games which I thought to be amazing are: mario kart 64, goldeneye, mortal combat.

If you have played this you will realise that it should be at least in the 20's. BTW what is the country?
