The Cheetahs secured their first win in the ABSA currie cup this year with a well deserved 33 points to 26 victory over the Griquas in Bloemfontein. They also managed a 4 try bonus point.
Handling errors, and some poor decision making by Sarel Pretorious put the Cheetahs out of sight, only for some brilliant play by Sarel to see the Griquas snatch a losing bonus point for losing within 7.
Coenie Oostheziun scored a hat-trick for the Cheetahs. Can't recall a game where a prop has scored a hat-trick.
The Griquas are still 1 point ahead of the Cheetahs.
On a side note, I thought Wesley Wilkins played brilliantly, as he did last week, looks like a real gem. Problem is, hes a flank
