I haven't seen any of this stuff in the news... but if they are doing it in NZ, isn't one of the stupidest things to be doing?

Apart from being insensitive and offensive to some, it would be firing up your enemy before the game, do they want to make the French play out of their skins?

That's why I hated it when PDiv would pipe up with some rubbish about the forthcoming opposition. Luckily we didn't play NZ because his comments about the Haka would have come back to haunt him

But I have seen comments like this from Henry and co "Henry said nobody in the All Blacks camp was counting them out yet.He said the French did not play well in their semi but will play better in the final, and can still be the best team in the world on their day....Henry said the French were more difficult to prepare for than Australia"

Just google the NZ Herald and read what Peter Bills wrote, and there's the Dominion Post as well (which said that Frenchs=turkeys)
Stuart Barnes said some bullshit as well like "France is a shame for rugby".
In the Sydney Morning Herald, Greg Gowden described French as "unskilled players"

Dont get me wrong, I (and pretty much EVERY kiwi i know) are well aware of what the french can do and are far from assuming we will win..but every team gets bagged in the media, they do it to sell papers

The all blacks get bagged every time that dont play amazingly...should have scored 50 etc.

The truth is no team has one the world cup without losing and the french have lost twice so i'm not really surprised they are being talked down...whether that will actually have any effect on the result...I very much doubt it
