Not sure if this is the right thread and this is nothing new, but why. Why are the trains in this country so awful! A simple trip I'm taking did take 2 hours. Now? I have to go past my destination, then go backwards to reach it. This adds 1 hour 30 onto my trip and a ton more money. Madness.

I wouldn't mind the cost so much if they were fast and efficient, but it's no wonder people won't leave their cars.

Sad state of affairs. I was looking at a job in Milton Keynes and two stops from my closest station and it costs £40 return. Just crazy.
