Of all the core teams, Fiji is the most inconsistent team this season. We can talk about the players rotating policy, the in-experience, the weather factor etc. What do you, my fellow members think?

I think a lot of the other countries are now starting to invest in their 7s teams and so they are geeing better and catching up with NZ & Fiji. A few years ago it was pretty much just NZ, Fiji & to a lesser extent Samoa that were winning the 7s comps. Now you're getting teams like Kenya making the finals! So the game of 7s is just more competitive than 3 or 4 years ago.
p.s I was born in Suva & went to Vieuto school. Left when I was 9 though
You can't change the team every leg of the tournament and stay consistent. NZ keep the same core group of players every year, so no surprise they were the only consistent team this season.
It might also just be the draw, different teams know how to beat certain teams. eg. England know how to beat Fiji, but Fiji know how to beat NZ. So I guess it can depend on where these teams meet each other in the draw too
Interestingly South Africa won 3 tournaments, NZ and Fiji both won 2
HHmmmm.... Some interesting thoughts... We'll see how Ben Ryan fares with the Fiji 7s... I'm guessing a slow start and vigorously strengthening towards Rio.
They need to recall my mate Kenny Robertson into their team. Had a few drinks with him on saturday (Some Fijian 70% rum he had) and the boy is looking sleek like a greyhound. If they could get him and the Tela brothers QLD premier rugby they would be right back up the top.
Hmm... Interesting thoughts Woldog. What are their full names? I know the Fijian 7s Manager personally and would be able to put in a good word for them.
