Favourite romantic song?

He was born and in Flanders, but always spoke French, it's one of those things that sometimes happen if you live in the vicinity of Brussel. I could be wrong, it's been a while since we dedicated a few hours to him in French class. I remember a Dutch version of 'Le plat pays', but the French accent still sounds through every now and then

Not sure if you ever listened to Amsterdam, it's more tragic then it is romantic, but still very far from being simply a song about hookers.

A rap song can have the most mushy, loveydovey text ever written, it will never sound like a romantic song to me. Must have to do with melody. Or personal taste of course

Okay my fav has to be "Ain't no mountain high enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.
Now that is a true romantic song. I went to a wedding and they had it aired in the Church, it was pretty emotional...

Laetca, are you singing love songs to god?

That video is jesus hidden inside a love song - easy to understand from people one generation removed from slavery. And even the Simpsons had an episode based on the idea - they were taking the ****, but still had affection for the people who sing like this.
