I don't know what's prompted me to ask this, just curious. What's your favourite romantic song?

Mine is Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. I intend for that to be my song when I get married. IF I get married.

When I got married the 2 tracks we insisted upon were The Cure "Friday I'm in Love" and Foo Fighters "Everlong". Not sure whether they'd be considered romantic, but they have a certain resonance. For us, at least.

St Helens RLFC, Total Eclipse of the Heart is pretty much about a woman who has lost her love. Not sure if you'd want that to play as your openingdance.
I once read that many people have 'She' by Elvis Costello as their openingdance, apparantly the song is about a prostitute. Just saying that the text probably doesn't matter all that much if you don't want it to matter XD

I like More Then Words by Extreme, but I still have a long way to go before I'll have to be picking out a playlist for a wedding (that is to say my own wedding, I'll probably help organise for June)

*Edit* Checked some sources, the song by Costello is actually"i want you" and it's about a pretty nasty berakup after a partner cheating on you

Tough question. I have no idea actually. I like the sad or break-up songs more. 'Apologise' from OneRepublic and 'Turn back the hands of time' by R-Kelly come to mind.

I like From the Beginning by E.L.P. It's a love song of course (not a prostitute or a woman loosing her love :bleh!: , and it has a very good solo part in it , which makes it even better (for me anyway).
