Faingaa brothers off to the Reds!

After many years of Queenslanders going down south to the Brumbies, the Reds have finally pinched some Canberra talents with both Faingaa brothers going to the Reds next year.

The Brumbies only offered a contract to Saia for next year and he didn't want to play against his brother so they're both going to the Reds.

This likely means that the Brumbies will get Stephen Moore. I would've preferred to keep both Faingaa brothers and get rid of Fairbanks.

Anyways, apparently the Brumbies have a few players from other teams about to come over. So we'll wait and see what happens there....

and if that doesnt hurt the Reds, this will:

RODNEY Blake is the latest Wallaby set to quit Queensland after an Australian Rugby Union contract snub that has left the hulking prop in limbo.

Blake is weighing up offshore offers after learning the ARU will not provide a top-up component to any new deal with Queensland for next season.

The decision will cost the man nicknamed "Rodzilla" about $150,000-a-season, a fiscal shortfall the tighthead prop can make up by accepting overtures from clubs in Europe.

Off contract at season's end, Blake is content at the Reds, but the ARU's fading interest could be the factor that forces the 24-year-old overseas.

Blake's loss would be a blow to the Reds, who are resigned to losing World Cup hooker Stephen Moore to the Brumbies or Force next season.

You would think Blake would want to try and get as far away from Carl Hayman as possible, not potentially move into the same competitions.
