Extra times, Draws

I think that extra-time is not good for most of the games. Exceptions are finals and the 3rd place playoffs. Since there is no next game, finals and 3rd place playoffs should be decided by unlimited extra-time. Firstly 10 min half. Then 5 min half. The 5 min-half decider continues until the game is decided.
In other games, extra-time is not a good idea, since the fatigue may effect next game. Therefore, the games should be decided by 40m kicks. Like tennis' tie-break, the kicks should be taken in the order ABBAABBA. 4 kicks should be enough. (The goal can be chosen by each team.) If the result of kicks was still tie, then repeat the kicks.
In the amateur/youth game, it is possible that both side cannot score. In that case, the kick will be taken from 22m line.
By this, we can abolish draws in the league games.

Another invigorating thread...

Teams also tire from fatigue in the same game, so by the end of the 'second set of extra times' the team that wins will most likely be the team with standing players.

The way it is is fine. No need to tinker with it.

During the League rounds - Team Captains should play each other at Wii tennis. Winner takes all.

During the finals, if there is a draw - Teams should compete at Pictionary in the middle of the ground - While that is happening Midget tossing is featured on the Large Screens at each end of the stadium, and the Crowds are singing "Slice of Heaven" and doing the mexican wave.

Also the Teams will be surrounded by Sharks with Lasers till a result is found.

Seconded:p

By far the best extra time system is in Touch Rugby.

Each team loses one player every two minutes. The ref will re-start play after drop off. If a team scores from the tap off in sudden death, without the opposing team having had possession, the opposition have one set of six touches to score. If they don't score within those six touches the game is won by the first team that scored.[5] Alternatively, the drop-off will continue until each team is down to three players (in mixed competitions, teams are required to have at least one female still on the field). From this point, the game will continue until the next touchdown is scored and the winner is found.

O
bviously this would work much better in 7s rather than 15 a side rugby. But some food for thought... It is certainly more fairer than any penalty shoot-out or what not.
