Let's go South Africa's seventh franchise! ;)

Seriously though, I really hope they win this convincingly.

Think Montpellier will win this comfortably.

Do you know how the big the attendance is expected to be?

Last i heard when i was at the club on Tues, was around 26,000 but there will always be last minute buyers so maybe up to 30,000 with a little luck.

Good luck my friend but you will have to be pretty poor to lose this one!!!!

OK, so Quins got well and truly stuffed last Saturday, but don't write them off so quickly.
MHR will be favourites but Quins will be motivated to give Conor O'Shea a winning last match in charge.

That is what they said before his last home match in front of his home crowd........result?!

Mission not accomplished and MHR are a stronger team than Exeter!

I really dont think this is one sided at all, nobody here is writing Quins off, to the contrary, we are very worried about them, they have many class players, they have so many reasons to win this match, Conor O'Shea giving him a great send off to Italy, qualification for Euro Champions Cup next season as the 7th Premiership club, the memory of the young Harlequins prop Seb Adeniran-Olue, who died this week in a car accident ( there will be a minutes silence for him before the ko and Harlequins players will wear black armbands). RIP young Seb, and also to make up for the massive home defeat last week v Exeter, many good reasons indeed, we are giving them the highest of respect and they are quite capable of lifting the trophy as we are. This is not about "may the best team win", as Jake said "Finals are not played they are won" here's hoping. All packed and ready to go massive night for us, coach with players not on team sheet, match, then reception, then party on a massive barge on the Rhone in the centre of Lyon hopefully celebrating and not drowning our sorrows, the after match party scheduled for a 5am finish may need red bull !!!!!! Hotel, bed hopefully, and back to Montpellier tomorrow after breaky for the 2nd final, did have tickets for ECC but we have to stay with the group normal!!!!

That seems a bit low to me for a final. Is that normal? Or is there something that is deterring fans from attending?

Not sure I agree with you TM. Exeter have played some wonderful rugby this season and fully deserve their second place in the Premiership, and I'd back them to beat Wasps in the play-off and get to the final (against Tigers!).
And as for tonight's match, it could be closer than you think.

I'm actually really impressed with the numbers.
It's the 2nd tier cup, rather than the champions cup on Saturday, and is usually held in club grounds rather than big stadiums so has only topped 20k twice before (last time was a sold out stadium but only about 14k)

Isn't the main event also on on the weekend?

Best of luck to Montpellier. BTW how are Jaques du Plessis and Paul Willemse going?

excellent would not be the complement they deserve, much better than that, 2 monsters who for such a TENDER young age are tearing the opposition apart and the + is Jaques can play backrow just as well, they will be on top off their game tonight no worries there.
Euro Champions Cup Sat KO.17.45 RACING METRO V SARACENS

not sure but this could be a new record crowd for the "Petite Finale", the ECC Final on Sat Racing Metro v Saracens is a sell out 60,000. The advantage of having both finals the same weekend is that many supporters come to watch the petite final as an opener and aperatif before the biggy Sat.

Wot he said.........

Still sticking with MHR and do not rate Quins defence at all......................but can they score enough points to mitigate is the only question!

Exeter are a far better team than Montpellier .....

I dont doubt it but Montpellier are playing Harlequins so they can be the best team in the World until one day they meet Montpellier again, and if i remeber rightly Exeter were beaten TWICE!!!!! the last time the 2 teams met.
That's it all locked up and off to Lyon to bring back a Cup!!!!!!!!!!! Finales are not played to enjoy , they are played only to WIN!!!!!!!

HERES HOPEING !!!!!!!!!

Based on what? They are both in the same position in their respective leagues, with Montpellier having won one more having played one more game (so pretty much even there). I'm genuinely curious as to what makes them better?
