EP Kings in big trouble

For the sake of South Africa, I hope SARU doesn't give Cheeky a lot of freedom. If SARU is in charge, I'm sure they will work within a structure that is to the benefit of the Kings, and more importantly South African Rugby.

I would very much like to see what is going to happen here...

I hope they dethrone him. He was always in it for the money. Never for the rugby. He hated the old EP regimes and teams.

I've been one of the staunchest advocates of the Kings and I do believe that the EC has the talent to support a SR franchise.
I also feel that getting the Eastern Cape interested in rugby may be good for transformation in general, as more EC kids get into rugby.

Unfortunately the whole thing has been massively bungled and if I'm honest it's probably 10 years too early. It's going to be a complete disaster next year.
At this stage the Kings should honestly just start playing black players regardless of how competitive they are, just as a branding thing. At least then maybe they can start building up some support and actually accomplishing the goals they set out to achieve, rather than acting like we can field anything like a competitive team. Maybe a few gems will be unearthed in the process.

I wont lie when i heard of the player exodus at the kings i though . meh not so bad for south African rugby the rest of our teams will have improved depth. to a degree it did happen so far hopefully whitehead joins his old club. Dont know why he left the sharks in the first place. But honestly this is what you get when politics gets involved and forces their will on a sport. cheeky should completly go if kings stand any chance. i agree wit the other posters that say cheeky is in it for the money that or he has extreme financial mismanagement skills. The kings will be able to attract more high profile signings with a more secure board.
