nili has to compelete a one match suspension but was selected as the tour captain moa being his
vice

Kurt Morath is unavailable because Kubota Spears needs Kurt to final league games. He spoke with Epi Taioane and Mana Otai.
And Apikotoa... I hope that he makes a good tour, I don't meet him.

'Ikale Tahi in Gruissan, France. Sona Taumalolo keeps the ball alive as Nili Latu looks on
The 'Ikale Tahi head coach, Mana 'Otai has announced his team to play Italy at Stadio M. Riggamonti, in Brescia, on Saturday, November 10 during Tonga's European Tour.
Mana made his selection of 23 players, from 33 players who participated in a three-day training camp in Gruissan, France.
"The camp gave the coaching staff a chance to work with a players that we have not had the chance to previously, as well as the new players, called up into the squad," said Manu.
"We tried to concentrate on giving the players the tools, patterns and plays they will need during the tour without overloading them during the two and a half-days we had to work with."
The team are now in Brescia, Italy preparing for the clash with Italy who are ranked one place above Tonga at number 11 on the IRB rankings.

During the camp the leadership group, captain and vice-captain were selected for the tour. Nili Latu was nominated as Captain with Taniela Moa selected as Vice Captain. However, Nili Latu who last played for the 'Ikale Tahi in 2009, will miss the test against Italy as he completes a one match suspension, meaning Taniela Moa who is based at French Club Pau, will captain the side against the Azzuri on Saturday.
Speaking on the selection of Nili Latu as Captain, Coach Mana Otai commented:
"There are a lot of natural leaders in this team and a number of players who have the potential to be leaders for the future, but Nili stood-out at the training camp as an obvious choice for Captain because of his "just do-it attitude" and technically he is right up-there."

Italy - Tonga 10/11/2012 2PM (GMT) -4PM

Looking forward to the game.

Apikotoa should make the most of the opportunity given to him i've seen him play in Tonga and a lot happens around him when he has ball in hand but on that note this is club level rugby. He can slot into centre and fullback both so i'm sure he ain't afraid to take the line on himself. The backline named have got enough firepower to put points on the opposition its upto Apikotoa to put them in the right places.Though i would have liked a Sione Piukala-Hudson Tonga'uiha (thats if his even in the 33 man squad) pairing and Iongi on left wing.

Late Changes to Tonga squad Taufa'ao Filise has pulled out stating he has retired from international duty and is replaced by Ofa Fainga'nuku (Glasgow) and Hudson Tonga'uiha has pulled out due to injury and is replaced by Eddie Paea (Northland).http://www.rnzi.com/pages/news.php?op=read&id=72084

in most of the games i've seen apikotoa play he has done alright with the boot no kurt morath but i wonder who will take kicking duties him or moa. i agree with u that the clubs have something to do with both players making themselves unavailable.

Was a decent first hit out for our first game of the tour & one we could've won.

Saw Nili playing waterboy, haven't seen that guy play since RWC07, is he still any good?
