England vs New Zealand - 19/11/22

Not specialists though...

And 'non-jumpers' are capable of jumping. Not having it.
I'm with you on not needing 3 lineout specialists. But IMO saying that we don't need them because we're only calling 5-man lineouts is a bad way to argue against them.

You can absolutely utilise 3 jumpers in a 5-man lineout. Hell, I remember when NZ used to regularly run 4-man lineouts with a prop at the front and Retallick, Whitelock and Read all acting as jumping options.

Right so...

Faz
Billy
Itoje
Manu
Nowell

What did they bring this half?

our backs are painful in attack.

Mako
Youngs

On the bench are not filling me with confidence.

Please god dont bring Youngs on at half time to 'steady the ship'

Same old poop from England. Shame it's not funny any more, even that wore thin.

I'm pleased for my Kiwi parts though, maul especially given line out itself needs a bit of work.

Hook Billy, Simmonds to 8 Willis 6. Missing a specialist 6 on the bench or on the filed.

I did go into this in huge detail elsewhere, but it's easier to coach an excellent jackaller to jump well enough to be used 4 times a game than to teach a jumper to compete at the breakdown 20 times a game. By definition, the third option is only the third best jumper in the side, so you're already in to non-specialists. If you have a first or second choice jumper lifting, then he's not going to be part of the best lifting crew.

The most frustrating thing is all of these issues have been predicted/spoken about pre-game/for months

The even more frustrating thing is that, unlike when we had this issue in like 2011 or whatever, we've got so many good players that could be drafted in/trialled

Though I do think that a lot of the buck lies with the coaching staff. These players aren't playing like this for their clubs

JvP rolls the ball on the wrong side of the caterpillar - he just did it again then but the ABs didn't clock onto the ref saying the ball was out
Instead of rolling it inside the players leg he rolls it outside so it leaves the ruck
