England vs Australia - 01/11/25

That's a very good result in my book. Aus have a lot of Rugby under their belts coming into this and are a much better side than they were 12 months ago, although to be fair they were missing a bunch through injury and availability issues.

Feels like one of the main things that need to improve for England is their game management and decesion making. Need to really build some combinations and consistency in these autumn internationals and into the 6N. Still dont have a settled modfield combo since 2003 and counting it feels like.

But to end with a positive keeping Australia to 7 points (and from an intercept) was very good.

I think that went about as expected, though I did think Australia would be a try or so closer

Players we thought would go well, did
Players we didn't, didn't

Very interested to see what we do in the Fiji game - wouldn't be surprised to see the same again but with bench and starters swapped
Agreed, they'll probably stick with the same roughly.

They'll be happy with how Pepper went. A bonus that will please SB is how well he went in the Lineout aswell .

I wonder if Lawrence might come back in possibly for Dingwall. I'll need to see the stats of how everyone went.

I'd start Fin, Start Ojomoh Lawrence at 12 13. And have Roebuck at 23. Same starting pack/Bench but Rest Curry. Maybe give Pollock a start and Earl to bench.

Basicly give Ojomoh a chance as Dingwall was only decent
A 13 at 13, harsh on Roebuck as he was class but I think Ojomoh Lawrence Freeman.
And have a 5/3 bench.
10 Fin 23 Marcus
Steward came on in the second half, give him a chance to get some form

I can’t agree here Roebuck has to play in these games, if it came to it I think I’d put him in over Freemo, simply for experience, he’s earned a spot even if that’s with rotation but with the balance of caps I think I’d prioritise him in the short term.

I thought Pepper was quietly excellent. Considering how inexperienced he is, today was a major step forward.

When IFW did get the ball he looked dangerous and I like that on one wing, id Start Lawrence. I'd say Freeman is ahead of Roebuck but would not be annoyed if he were to start ahead of Freeman. Now if Freeman is seen as a 13 this series then put him at 23, shift Lawrence to 12 midgame and Freeman to 13.

I’d say Freeman is rightly ahead of Roebuck in the pecking order currently, I just don’t want a situation where he’s got few caps, Freeman has a boat load and then gets injured early on or around that time, and struggles under the pressure, Freeman has a fair bit of experience I just think closing that gap is the priority so you have two exceptionally capable wingers who can execute a specific high ball game plan (assuming that’s the gp and Freeman and is seen as a winger).

Don’t put Lawrence at 12

Farrell, Joseph was pretty well settled wasn't it?
Certainly if you include Tuilagi and consider them a triumvirate (which, let's be honest, was the case in 2003 with Greenwood, Tindall and Catt)
