England Six Nations Squad 2025

I hope he makes the tour, at least
It depends if Marcus goes on lions - Furbank will start and Daly will be in the 23, if Marcus is with England there's probably no room for Carpenter as a 4th fullback
I'm not sure Marcus will go on the Lions.
Daly will go on the Summer tour.

One play that stood out for me was late in the game when Earl was at 12. He got the ball almost standing still and managed to carry with 2 or 3 guys on him for about 10m .
Now England haven't got that in our backs...even Lawrence can't do that. But many of the other teams have centres who can. It's a huge weapon.

That's something we need to find..but it might not be this summer.

I could see Marcus going as a midweek player covering 10 and 15, tbh - though wouldn't be surprised if he misses out (could come down to a coin flip for him vs Fin Smith)

**** it, I've seen him bosh someone before, let's take him at 12.

I think he goes as a test match 22 shirt specialist, much like Beauden in his early ABs career. Will be a great option to inject pace in the last 20-30 minutes from either 10 or 15.

Not a bad shout - I guess it comes down to how Farrell wants the side to play, and it's not easy to really nail that down as the Ireland side kinda picks itself

You know what im really glad we ended on a strong performance where we played till the end.

Realistically France deserved that but I'd honestly say we deserve second.

Ireland looked shaken vs Wales and Italy, we pushed them close and got demolished by France. We wernt perfect by anymeans but I'd say we had the better tournement in the end.

And with a squad with a average age of 25 there's alot to build on for the WC.

Hadn't really considered that before, but he has had a good 6N and on a tour with multiple games a week versatility is key so I could see it
Yeah versatility is a big plus on these tours..and he's playing well..and experienced...

SB obviously likes the look of Earl at 12. Can't help thinking he's eyeing up a permanent move. Wouldn't be a total footballer but not unskillful and there are are worse traits than quick, powerful and good over the ball.

The 3 open sides back row is a bit unbalanced and I'm not sure it'll regularly work against better teams. Plus, unlike 12, there's a conveyor belt of talent on the flanks. Behind the Currys there's Pollock, Pepper, Underhill, Kenningham with CCS and Hill if you want something a bit different.

I'm interested to see where Pollock settles - could end up being a bigger version of Earl at 8
Don't think Pollock will ever settle at a larger weight than Earl. I know he's a lot younger but he's still significantly slimmer than Earl was at his age. Earl has become pretty renowned for being a serious gym rat; Pollock's strength is his lightweight-athleticism.

Fair play I thought Pollock was significantly taller than Earl is (they're both 6ft2 according to all rugby)

I always think Earl is really short - probably just from how stocky he is

Pollock is only a few months removed from being a teenager, though, I imagine he'll pack on a few kg over the next few years (especially with Saints new....S&C....plan)

If you look back at pics of Earl from when he was a teenager he looks a fair big bigger than what Pollock is now. I think he is just partially naturally that build.

For sure, but I reckon he'll settle as a ~103kg kinda player (Hooper, Savea, van der flier, Morgan esque).

Earl is pushing 110kg nowadays (listed in most places as 107kg, and he's kept growing). He's a big, big boy.

FTR I reckon that Pollock steps on the pitch as no heavier than 98kg right now, regardless of what he's listed as. Just look at him stood next to someone like Daly or Dingwall; he's not really any bigger.
