England Six Nations Squad 2025

We'll know what we need to beat Ireland, but probably at least 5 points. France have such a huge pts difference that we need them to lose or draw.

So it's looking bad for Lawrence. Achilles gone by the sounds of it. 6 months at the very least but probably way longer. And a more difficult fix than even Duponts ACL. Gutted for Ollie.

The summer tour becomes even more critical for both Centre spots now.
Oh that sucks. Looked bad when he collapsed but vaguely hoped it was just a bit of a strain.

Daly seemed to be pretty useful moving to 13, so I'd be happy to see the same 15 after Lawrence was unfortuntely injured with Marcus at 15. If not start Freddie and bring on MS later on.
Maybe give Tom a break and start Ben. I'd love to see Roebuck get a run out but feel SB is too conservative to try anything new. He's still basking in a decent England performance.
Watch Wales have the game of the tournament and spoil SB's weekend. It's the only one that really matters isn't it?;)
If England play as they did Sunday, that won't be happening.

The guy who started the comp with 3 open sides?

The guy who's picked our youngest 10 over 2 much more experienced options?

The guy who changed the position of our most creative player and then dropped him?

The guy who's started 3 different full backs in 4 games?

The guy who covered lock with a flanker who barely plays there?

The guy who picked Chessum without getting him to prove fitness?

The guy who's totally loaded our backs from one club?

I'm not saying many of those were great decisions or even that SB has a clear plan, but I don't think we can accuse him of being conservative and not trying things.

This may be a little harsh but sounds like he is really learning on the job.

Although hopefully once the learning is out the way we get to performing at some point (maybe even this Saturday).

As for centres I don't think Dingwall and Daly work but again there is no real alternative. Dingwall ane Freeman have played together at 12 and 13 but not enough in my personal view to start him there for England.

Need more size in the midfield though.

It's not purely size IMO, it's more that Dingwall, Daly and Slade offer little in the way of a running threat. They're just not really going to fix a defence. Beard is a lot more direct and would offer the kind of threat the other two don't.

Freeman would too but when he's been our best winger, it doesn't really make sense to move him.

Ojomoh is probably somewhere in between. He is more of a running threat but I'd still regard him as playmaking type of centre.

just start Earl at 12, Daily at 13, see how they go, the backline is far too lightweight with Dingwall and Daly.

He is which is far from ideal...but i keep saying his hands are tied a little as we just dont have some of the player types required at this level.

We dont have a juggernaut/direct 12.
We had no real tight head locks...they're "developing' Martin on the job. We have no other with him out. Tuima failing, Tizard failing, etc etc
After the 3/4 locks then the standard of the rest of the locks pretty much falls off a cliff. And Coles and Chessum have been injured for so long
We have no 1st choice FB
Marcus Smith IS a dilema. He is also hindered by not having a juggernaut 12 alongside him...
Our props were ineffective, but are slowly being worked on and showing big improvements. Stuart looking good now.
Our back up props were poor
Our wings were young and inexperienced...but now showing green shoots...especially Freeman. IFW out has not helped.
Etc etc

SB has many faults...but i just think his hands have been tied in some regards with this.
