England Six Nations Squad 2025

I think the one I'm still hoping pushes on after his injury is Olly Hartley. But I haven't heard much of how he's been doing since he returned.

It's also pointless having a great inside centre if all they're going to do is chase bad kicks

Well they've got to fit in with the game plan (whatever that might be), and gel with both the 10 (M & F are very different) and 13, presumably Lawrence.

Just read that England have fielded 52 different starting centre partnerships since 2010……

What is everyone looking for in their 12 and 13s?

The current trend seems to be a big powerhouse 12 and a creative 13 leading the defence and possibly game management.

Are you looking for the same?

As I don't see Lawrence as either of those (maybe a mix) and Slade just isn't selling it for me but has the game management...
I have always thought that the inside centre should be a good passer of the ball. Or at least a good offloader. Which is why I never liked it when Tuilagi played 12 because he didn't have good hands.
Henry Slade has always seemed to me to have the ideal skills to play inside centre: his strengths are passing and kicking..Ive never understood why Exeter played him at outside centre.
I like an outside centre to have the pace to make an outside break, and in defence have the pace to cover an outside break.

Because he preferred it and at 12 he was a lot better on paper than on grass. I agree though, as a play making 12 he should have been perfect.

There's a list on there of centre combos with 2 or more games, interesting.
I refuse to believe that Shontayne Hape and Mike Tindall played 10 times together for England. I have no memory of this whatsoever and I have been watching the England rugby team since 1990. This website is a work of fiction.

I can't think of many of the more powerful options at 12.

Hartley is a big unit, Ojomoh solid but not heavyweight same as Lawrence. Dingwall is lightweight, Atkinson is solid but no powerhouse. Woodward looks similar, leaving only really Waghorn (20) at Quins and Pasco (20) at Saints (the lad who was in the England squad for experience) as more direct 12s but they're still trying to establish themselves at their club, far away from international.

So it basically leaves Sammy Arnold or Freddie Steward.... ;)

Maybe we go with a bigger 13 and distributing 12....Freeman to 13?

As it beats working…..it really happened.

2010 - 2 tests v Aus and 3 AIs followed by the entire 2011 6N.

Happy days.

Do you mean the South African born and educated Currie Cup winning former Emerging Springbok and South Africa U21 junior World Cup finalist Brad Barritt?

Or shall I not go there? 😀😀
Absolutely I'm not afraid to show my double standards. ;) :D

He was picked, didn't like it at the time but can't deny he was a bruising 'team' player.

Charlie Tector of the Leinster parish started life as a 10, and because of the logjam in that position he moved to 12, where he is considered to be doing really well. There must be a couple of 10's down the depth chart at club/country willing to make the move?

Who's in for Martin? Is it Pollock? I've lost track of the ins and outs, and when Pollock is in the seniors or the u20s

Feels like a waste, considering our minimal depth at lock
Langdon maybe? Was in the a squad last week and I think Pollock has been in camp since round 2. Agreed anyway.
