England in India 2006

Yeah a lot of unnecessary pressure now on Collingwood and Hoggard tomorow, India will be looking to get them all out for around 300.

We'll get the team that won the Ashes together again at one point, honestly!

England still batting at lunch on day 2 surprisingly after yesterday's performance with Collingwood reaching his century and Steve Harmison making a very useful 39 from 42. England currently 360-9

Certainly a good fightback by England I'd say they'd have snapped your hand off if you'd offered them 393 all out after yesterday.

India 41-1 in reply but Panesar looks like he could get something out of the pitch and England seem to be bowling well in general. Wouldn't like to be the English batsmen though in their second innings with Harbhajan and Kumble really coming to the fore.

yeah true but India will have to bat last when the pitch is really turning with panesar and blackwell bowling its gonna be difficult

Yeah but Harbhajan and Kumble would be more likely to get through the team quicker than Panesar and Blackwell. Does seem evenly poised though at the moment.

yeah Kumble and Harbhajan have over 700 test wickets between them while Panesar and fat boy currently have 0, but Paneasr has the potential to become a decent spinner

Stumps on day 2 and India in reply are 136-1 with Dravid and Jaffer unbeaten on 40 and 73 respectively.

Bit of a collapse for India on day 3 with them losing 6 wickets for only 50 runs. Kaif and Kumble seem to have brought a bit of stability though with a 70 partnership.

Great partnership from Kumble and Kaif to bring India back from the brink but with them both out late in the day it gives England the advantage going into day 4, they should pick up the final wicket quickly enough. Great performance though from Hoggard picking up a fiver as well.

England wrapped things up fairly quickly with Hoggard picking up his 6th wicket. England have got off to a decent start in their second innings and are currently 77-0 and lead by 147. England are in the driving seat big time now, there hasn't been a successful run chase at this ground in 9 tests.

Stunning decision from the 3rd umpire not to give Pieterson out, was surprised from seeing it first time that it even went to the 3rd umpire. How in the name of God did he even take so long with the decision. I thought I saw the South African umpire say to Aleem Dar, that he thought it was out, but he just seemed to be amusing Pieterson cause he didn't move and in the end completely out psyched him into calling the 3rd umpire.

Anyway England are on 155-3 and lead by 225.

Yeah poor decision but he is perfectly within his rights to stand his ground. Speaking as a batsman myself it is hard to tell when the ball pitches that close to the bat if its a bump ball or not

I'm not saying that he wasn't within his rights just that it seemed to push the umpire into going upstairs.
