Either a fight or breaking curfew I reckon?
Saw a mention of "An alcohol related incident" - Nothing more annoying than untapped potential.Either a fight or breaking curfew I reckon?
Manu is thick as ****, seriously how could the guy **** up AGAIN? Is he incapable of thinking? Same for Solomona, you're not so valuable that you can afford to do this and get away with it. I don't think Tuilagi will ever learn, he has been warned numerous times and still does it.
Much as I agree with Jones' attitude change on field, I hope he sticks to the Lancaster line off field. We don't need our players making idiots of themselves. Tuilagi is already on thin ice and it will be interesting to see what happens, I hope Jones put's it in black and white, any more of that stupidity and he can kiss goodbye to ever playing for England again.
If the AB's had the same rules then they pretty much wouldn't have a backline.
End of the day if Manu is playing his best he will be in the squad.
No offence to JJ or Daly but neither showed the potential to cause havoc in a structured defence like Manu did at his best and Eddie knows this.
I'm sure Eddie will read them the riot act hence the rightly naming and shaming them, but Manu would have to do something alot more stupid than a night out with Denny to cross that line.
Lancaster had an easy call because Manu was already out basically.

Tuilagi's previous problems
- 2010 - Avoided deportation after it was found he had remained in England for six years on an expired visa
- 2011 - Banned for five weeks for punching Northampton's Chris Ashton
- 2011 - Warned by police and fined £3,000 by England rugby officials after jumping from a ferry in Auckland a day after England's quarter-final World Cup exit
- 2013 - Makes 'bunny ears' gesture with two fingers behind then Prime Minister David Cameron's head while posing for a photo with British and Irish Lions players
- 2015 - Fined £6,205 by magistrates after admitting assaulting two police officers
- I though in 2010 when he punched Christ Ashton he was deemed to be doing a public service? Same as his 2013 incident...
I'm not so sure about that. As good as Manu was we don't yet know whether he will be capable of getting back to his best. If he's seen as being disruptive to a group who has been more successful without him than with him, Eddie may decide it's not worth the hassle.
Manu is an idiot, there is only so many times he can be a twat and get away with it. 3 days and he couldn't resist having a pint, it shows he isn't really bothered about playing for England again so best leave him out now.
This is it exactly, it just stinks of not being that committed to playing for England. EJ wants his whole squad to buy in to a certain mindset, a level of commitment to the cause. He's faced with two players who are new to his "project", who have had no involvement in the success this group has achieved through buying in to his approach. One has never played for a full England team, the other is coming back after years of injuries - they should be among the hungriest in the group. Yet in a three day pre-season training camp they can't even properly commit. It's pathetic
Tuilagi, in particular, is a unique talent and should be on the England radar if he stays fit. But he also has to prove he can fit into the team ethos because he isn't good enough to be above the law
Good post. This pretty much sums up my feelings on these two ...
Once upon a time, Tuilagi might have had reason to believe he was the main man in an England shirt, but that was the distant past in rugby terms.
The England teams he featured in relied on his individual ability. Now under Eddie, we're a much better team and unless you buy in to that ethos, you don't get picked.
So Manu is back on the operating table. This happens so often. I presume he would've had full contact sessions, some intense pre season work and game time before this weekend. But as soon as the real stuff comes around he gets injured again. Is it his body weight and weak knees? I thought he looked leaner on Sat.
Anyway, still a couple of months till the AIs and I'm looking forward to it. Some English players still to come back and play, others looking good in week 1. Its an exciting time to be a Rugby fan.
