England A vs Australia A - 17/11/24

Who has impressed?
Back 3 all gone well,
Scrum has gone well with both sets of front rowers
Pollock the pick of the backrowers, which is a shame because I wanted Willis to dominate but he and Pearson have been outplayed by the Aussies
Atkinson had a poor first half but grown into it now
Langdon instant impact in the loose off the bench
Porter not standout but has gone about his business well - same with the centres

Don't think anyone has really put their hand up for promotion

Feel for McParland here - porter has looked good, but a bit weird that in this kind of game he is still on?

Ah there we go - only getting 5 minutes though

That's disappointing.

I also wanted, possibly even expected Willis to have a standout game.

Not sure we need more hype about Pollock.

What about the TH's for Cole?

And his brother was in the crowd and if the younger Willis becomes a senior regular maybe he will return home and try and get in.

Heyes solid in the scrum and probably the only player matching the physicality at the ruck - also scored a try. Wouldn't be against him being involved vs Japan tbh, though I want to have a look at Davidson first

Fasogbon won a scrum penalty but I'm still not convinced that's it's not just his size carrying him, he was getting twisted in all sorts of shapes in a later scrum

Decent I think. A few capped players in there and some highly rated youngsters including Tom Lynagh.
Yeah think they said pre-game that they had 8 capped players in the side
They looked better drilled than the England side, which makes sense as they've been together longer and have the game vs Bristol under their belts - just didn't have the individual flashes that England did that led to tries
