England 2021/22

I'm less sure. They could have given him a full season in the Championship but for some reason, they didn't and he ultimately left to play.

Fair play to him for taking a gamble in a new league/country. TBH, if he's establishing himself as a starter with Lyon, he'll probably find himself earning more than he would back in the Premiership. Unless he's clearly on the England radar and encouraged to come back, he may just stay there.

Dunno. He's only been there since the end of last year IIRC. I think that's only his 2nd or 3rd start so I'll be curious to see whether he can properly nail down a starting spot.

Just for the training camp, or for the tour?
I think this is just a training camp one, Arendall, Will Joseph and JVP i cant see all 3 going in the summer.

On a different point is Quirke still injured?

Yes. Word is Quirke is out until late preseason. Definitely not touring :(

Just an in-season training camp so can't read too much into it,

Ewels, lol

Surprised (but pleasantly) to see Will Joseph there - he's a real talent,
Arundell too :p

Watson's only played 2 games this season, according to the Bath website - weird to include him
Joe C too, but meh
Probably just to see where they're at, fitness wise, but harsh on the Hassell-Collins/Radwan to miss out on a training opportunity

Bailey over Ford is mad, but either would still be behind Furbank for third choice 10 so doesn't really matter who's involved
Lynagh the wrong call on Quins backs, imo

You missed the best bit - I'd take this as a sign that McGuigan is in fact not defecting across the sea!

Happy for Mcguigan but surprised both he and Blamire are there.

Murley>Lynagh and dont reallt rate Freeman that highly(not a bad player just cant see him ever making it for england)

Didnt see big joe getting a call up and he needs to earn the place but he is a talent

The Meh players
Ewels
Ludlam

Players im really happy to see get a shot

Arendall(v early and doesnt have to play but good experience, especially when we have steward as a solid FB anyway)

JWillis so sad he got injured as he was on form, he's back and just gets stuck in in every aspect. The one player that could challenge curry for his spot IMO, though id like to see them at 6 and 7 with Dombrandt at 8.

Chessum just a very good young prospect.

Blamire is a rough diamond....if we can get his throwing right (the big question) he really is a bruising pacy aggressive hooker with some good handling skills.
We have two more young lads coming through at hooker aswell...and they are potentially better again....

But im chuffed for McGuigan...best hooker in the league...just a class act
