Eliota Fuimaono Sapolu

Brilliant. The IRB need to rehabilitate players who think it is OK to post death threats against officials, not just fine them or ban them. I hope Elota takes the deal on offer rather than the ban.

Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu will be banned for 6 months

unless he does the following three things ...
  • makes a full apology to Nigel Owens and retracts his criticism of him
  • does a minimum of 100 hours rugby community work in Samoa at the IRB's high performance programme there within the next 12 months
  • attends and passes a referee's course within three months

Can we add Vbookie and bet on which one he'll do?? I'm willing to put some cash in point number 2: The community Hours one...

There's no way this retard will apologise to Owens or attend a referee's course...

Im voting for number 4) he does none of the above and carries on with his delusional rants

Decent punishment, but Sapolu did well to put himself out there for his career in law once he finishes up with rugby.

Obviously referring to his interview with John Campbell (who is a twat) on Campbell live.

I think that is fair enough, will he apologize to Owens? can't see him doing it unless he radically changes his attitude.

Wonder if he will tweet anything about the Warburton red?

he has alredy done well over 100 hours voluntary community work at samoas high performance centre with samoan youth. i assume he will continue to do so, but not because the irb said he had to

Apparently he tweeted, just after the hearing, that he doesn't want to play rugby anymore but then deleted it just after
Wonder what his club think about that considering he's got another year or two on his contract....

I disagree with his views but when the IRB starts acting like Gestapo you tend to raise an eyebrow. Even though the ban for playing any form of rugby has been lifted, the consideration of enforcing a decision like that is pure tyranny to a man who dedicated his life playing the sport.

Interesting. Do you not think Nigel Owens deserves the IRB's protection for his dedication to the sport?

They didn't say "You can never play rugby again", they said "You've missed your hearing, you can't play until you attend the rescheduled hearing"

Eliota has been in trouble again with his Twitter antics

this time he had words for young Saracens fly half Owen Farrell:

"To young rugby players do not be arrogant. If you want to be tough on the field make sure you back it up off it #farrell"

"Love it when players talk big on the field in front of the camera. I like to see if they still talk big off the field when no cameras around"

"Raised in New Zealand and Samoa, I've never had that s**t before ever. Good luck bro when you tour round my parts"

"What goes on the pitch stays on the pitch?? Don't use the pitch to showcase your FAKE toughness you pussy s**t"

he also wrote a letter to the Samoan Prime Minister on Samoa's World Cup campaign

Owen Farrell is a little dick anyway - I predict he'll pick up a few broken ribs from one of the other Manu Samoa players in the prem/HEC that he comes up against

I notice Chris Wyles isn't getting in trouble for swearing at the crowd after Sarries win?

Saracens players are starting to emulate their fans, and rugby will suffer because of it.

I've missed something here, what's he done to offend you? I doubt he's quaking in his boots anyway.

Nothing, I just don't like his attitude, he seems incredibly cocky/arrogant

Good player, but starting believe his own hype

Exactly my thoughts... within a year he'll probably just another obnoxious fly half who thinks he runs the ship, he'll get selected for England where he'll be out of his Sarries comfort zone he'll probably screw up and blame it on someone else.
t
As for Eli, what a tool... again. If farrell did wind him up then Farrell is as much of an eejit - TBH I wouldn't say anything like that to a man who's twitter picture is of him swinging a machette aroudn - he's now starting to become an international embarassment for Glaws along with Tinds (who BTW is apparently looking at going to Brizzle) which they could do without although they could do with some of his skills on the pitch.

Eliota Sapolu needs to be banned from the game. He's such a little *****. The fact he's talking about being tough off the pitch, and then making threats on Twitter is so pathetic. Don't know much about the attitude of Owen Farrell, but if he can get Sapolu banned for a couple of months, he's not all bad.

In five words - you nailed Sapolu exactly.

I'm pretty sure he could smash Owen. But I'll put 20 bucks on the old man Andy giving him a hiding.
