Eifion Lewis-Roberts signs for Toulon

They've been missing a fat ******* since "King Dog" vanished.

I can't even cheer him on next season because I can't physically bring myself to cheer on a side containing Bakkies Botha

Aye, his fitness has improved drastically, and he gets around the park as well as most normal props (he's not Gethin Jenkins, but he gets by) but he's very good in the scrum, and can play both sides to a high standard (with a preference to tighthead)
Think he dropped a few stone when Gatland said he needed to to be considered for Wales, which makes his current size crazier when you think that that's after intensive fitness and weight loss training
He's a lot more mobile than his frame would suggest

The article is dead on the site ... read what you want into that.

A good prop, who when is Wales bound gets injured. Must have been allowed to leave the farm, because from what I understood he would go back to the farm in North Wales to help out after training ... apparently was one of the reasons why he stayed and signed a contract at Sales before. Going to Toulon will help his career in terms of playing ability as well as some handy money. Personally its another Welsh player that has evaded the net of Gatland who has ignored Eifion for to long like Delve.

WRU from what I've heard. It was their rule, not actually Gatland's.
Should be a good move for him, they will keep him fit.
On the topic of Bakkies, how much money do they have?

Yup. But at the same time both players have been unlucky with injury at crucial times when I beileve they would have been involved with Wales. I think Gatland was correct regarding Eifion Lewis-Roberts at the time, he simply had to shift some weight to really make it at international level and it seems he has done. But now he's gonna find it hard to get into the recogning playing at Toulon, his one saving grace may well be Gavin Henson, because the Welsh coaches will probably be keeping an eye on the orange one, meaning they'll also be watching Roberts. If he plays well at Toulon I hope Gatland get's him involved, because we can't afford to ignore quality tightheads.

Hard for the regions to compete with Toulon, but I hope the likes of the Blues and Dragons at least tried to sign him!

I wonder how long Gav is going to be at Toulon for, I sense he might not be there past his current 5 month deal.

Aye, can't see him staying on with Giteau arriving, who is pretty much an Aussie henson (minus the bottled tan and hair gel)

Completely disappeared now, intriguing
Apparently it was dated 26/2/11, so maybe they typed it up, but released it early by accident?
Apparently a Bakkies Botha release appeared on there too, dated 24/2/2011, so guess we'll find out tomorrow about that one :p
