At bloody last! I've been vaguely following this whole fiasco ever since Edinburgh Council bailed on Edinburgh and the SRU over renovating that Athletics track into a stadium. A betrayal by local bumbledom not seen since Enfield Council shafted Saracens over Bramley Road...

Anyway, lets hope that the SRU can get their rears in gear. Even just adopting a Leinster/Bath style solution of just one small permenant stand with three other temporary stands would go a long way to solving Edinburgh's support woes.

Hey, there's at least 1,500 season ticket holders now! So there'll be at least 10 of us!

Yeah, good news for us. Murrayfield works against the growing support. We had 5,000 on Friday night so I'd like to see that played at a smaller venue to increase atmosphere. Tynnecastle and Meggetland were vetted as possible homes but I don't think either would work. Can't see Stalin...sorry Romanov, agreeing to sharing Tynecastle as he wants to knock it done, and Meggetland is too small.

Those 1,500 are just Andy Robinson, Gordan McKie and Gordan McKie's extended family.

Well we managed over 5,000 last friday. Not sure how many were Munster fans, but there's never usualy a MASSIVE amount of them, so I'm willing to bet there was at least 3,000 Edinburgh fans on Friday night. Probably cause of our wins over Wasps and Bath, and I hope that we can get a decent result against Leinster to get it back up for the Llanelli game.

I'd love to see a stadium down the road from where I live, but no doubt the tree hugging hippies will block it. With South Ayrshire council basically killing Ayr United's dream of a new football stadium for the 2nd time, and all the road works in Edinburgh and money being spent on the trams the trends show we probably won't get it. Renovate Medowbank, and move back there.

Yes i've always had the thought whenever i saw Edinburgh play at home "why aren't they playing at easter road or tynecastle?" <_< but its good to see that a new stadium is in the pipeline.
