Edinburgh v Leinster, Friday 24 September

They'll want to be. Nobody beats Munster [strike]twice[/strike] [strike]three times[/strike] [strike]four times[/strike] five times in a row........

10-12 to Leinster at half time. The home team are playing all the rugby in an awful game.

Geoff Cross scored Edinburgh's try after good work from Mike Blair. Tim Visser should have had another but for a brilliant tackle from Dominic Ryan.

22-12, 60 minutes gone. 3 tries for Edinburgh and they look a fair bet for a bonus point win.

Edit - and there it is. F'n pathetic.

jees... watching the game atm too and the irish look clueless with ball in hand. can't believe most of these guys are gona make up the irish xv...

f**k. an inch from another try... would've given leinster a chance of a miraculous comeback.

too late now.

ahh... just shows what can happen when you string a bunch of passes together. try to kearney.

FULL TIME: 32-24

GAAAAAY

Leinster double their score in 10minutes...
If only they'd played like that for a bit longer/a bit earlier

Yuck. 32-24 win for Edinburgh.

Leinster badly need Leo Cullen to return. Shane Jennings failed to rally the troops again and offered nothing in general play. I'd seriously consider dropping him and going with a backrow of O'Brien, Ryan and Heaslip.

Leinster looked like a bunch of amatures. Their tackling was weak and every time Edinburgh would make over a metre after being tackled. There was no attacking flare up until the 60 minute. Edinburgh were completely on top of us an their passing, defence and line running. The only positives were that Kearney kicked a good penalty, Ryan made a great try saving tackle, Fitzgerald was Leinsters best starting player. Heaslip was Great when he came on and was the centre of all the forward movement. Healy was good when him came on as well. Completely agree with you snoop Leinster miss Cullen and I think they miss Sexton aswell. Leinster need more structure in attack and defence.

That's a given. With Sexton and Shaun Berne out, Leinster are down to their 3rd and 4th string 10s. Sexton is a class above any other 10 on Leinster's roster. Berne is limited but gets the best out of those around him. Nacewa is a maverick who's patently not a flyhalf. Madigan is a kid who needs game time but Leinster can't afford to give it to him since they'll lose games.

With Cullen and Sexton back, Leinster will be a far better team.

If I was to pick a Leinster team for next week, I'd go with:
Kearney, Nacewa, O'Driscoll, Fitzgerald, Conway, Sexton, Boss; Van Der Merwe, Strauss, Ross, Hines, Toner, Ryan, O'Brien, Heaslip (capt)

Horgan, D'arcy, O'Donoghue, Reddan and Jennings need to sit on their arses and pay for some truly dreadful performances.

I bet Munster can't wait for next week to come, Leinster really need to take the finger out, the Heiny is only two weeks away(Isn't it?).

Remember Leinster last season, when their defence was downright miserly?

Clearly the players don't!

Lads can say munster are approaching next week cautiously to say the least but I didn't see the full game as I was in Glasgow but from the highlights it is a worry to see their defense didn't seem to know their individual roles and well I know Cullen was a loss but there were no players on the field willing to roll sleeves up and set the tone
