Dissappointing Welsh Crowd.

To be fair it was only a few people [/b]
Was definately a lot more then a few people. Seemed to be a significant number of people really. I certainly noticed it on the TV and immediately thought it wasnt on.

Its just not the way things are in rugby grounds, never has been and never should be. Next thing you know their will be fan segregation, fighting in the stands, and police escorts too and from the grounds for all incoming fans.

The Italian fans did segregate themselves!

I was at the stadium and I know that it was not a massive thing! It was not something I thought oh that's not on, it WAS a significant few number from 70,000 people! What you have to realise there are people who carry mic's around the place and they to tend to bring up thing much louder!

Have to say, there was a few at Croker yesterday who were booing kicks as well (happened for both sides) but it wasnt really that audible.

I certainly think I would find complete silence more offputting than boo's - I remember one game I was at our team had a kick to win the game which brought total silence, to the extent you could hear someone at the other end of the stand rattleing keys!

Perhaps the most offputting thing would be if everyone present stood up in anticipation and stayed totally silent? ;)

I don't think that booing the kicker is on atall. I've always loved the fact that Rugby fans are respectfull, I don't want to see it go the same way as football! I know booing is only a small thing, and proberly doesn't effect the kicker much, but there's no need or place for it.

You don't half go over the top do you.

Its not on but I don't think the 73,900 overweight female Welsh fans with cowboy hats in attendence on the day can whistle so it is safe to say that such disgraceful antics were exhibited by a shameful few rather than the many.

Its becoming more and more prevalient across rugby although I must say that at Club level, booing or whistling at a visiting kicker is an easy way to an early exit from the ground, and so they should be.

What?!

Kicking someone out of a ground for booing a kicker?
Good idea Mussolini... <_<

So someone boos, big deal. Get over it.
I don't encourage the act, but to kick someone out of the ground for it?
I'm sure there's method behind your madness, but the medication you're on just makes you mumble all your words.

Of course I do :) But nahhh, it was more in response to those who beieve its a good idea to make their home ground as intimidating as they can. That concept is a contradiction to how rugby fans have behaved through the years.

Its not that big a deal lads but it was very noticeable and shouldnt happen. It was only that one kick really, and I assume it was because they were a bit peeved about the shoulder charge decision given against Evans (I think).

EDIT: I'm genuinely scared at how well that picture turned out...

Kickers go into a 'zone' when kicking, i have never seen a professional kicker miss because someone made some noise, a constant noise also, i mean its always noisy so it's not like someone fired a canon neck next to him as he went to kick, ok so booing is negative compared to regular cheering, i would not be impressed by anyone booing but too much is being made of this.

I don't think booing a kicker is acceptable at all, anyone who attempts it at our ground (extremely rare) promptly gets put in their place - as it should be.

It's not football and the mixing of supporters is one of the many great aspects of the game - if we start slacking it's only a matter of time before there's police everywhere and assigned areas.

It isn't very nice and I cringe with embarrasment whenever it happens at Twickenham. I find it annoying though that other nations associate the Corporate dicks with the actual fans.

Its like thinking everyone in Ulster is a terrorist when, actually, not everyone in Ulster is a terrorist but a tiny minority ruin it for everyone else.
