Still gutted the last day of the third test ENG-Windies was rained out. Really believe the Windies could have won this game

CSA has announced the Protea test squad for the England tour:

Proteas' Test squad:

Graeme Smith (captain), Hashim Amla, Mark Boucher, Marchant de Lange, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, Jacques Kallis, Morne Morkel, Alviro Petersen, Robin Peterson, Vernon Philander, Jacques Rudolph, Dale Steyn, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.

It's the exact same squad that played against New Zealand recently.

AB will again be the backup wicket keeper, and Graeme Smith has already fully recovered from his injury.

Don't think I've seen de Lange and Tsotsobe before. What are they like. Good to see Kallis still rocking around

WHAT??? Marchant is also the same guy that took 7 wickets vs Sri Lanka in his Debut test in December at Durban

de Lange is fast - I'd say he would probably be the quickest of the South African bowlers. Tsosobe is a left-armer, who is probably more of an ODI specialist (one of the top ranked ODI bowlers in the world). I don't remember him being that quick (maybe 130km/h) but he is pretty accurate, and swings the ball a lot.

I don't see much of neutral, overseas cricket tbh. Is that the best example, yeah the guys quick but only 1 of those deliveries was on off stump.

Lol, I only showed that clip, which showed he bowled over the 150km/h mark.

He was an influential part of the Kolkata Knight Riders setup in the recent IPL. The guy can bowl, believe me...

Tsotsobe got a bit of pace back and has recently bowled over the 140km/h mark in SA's local T20 tournament.

Both Marchant and Tsotsobe has been at a training camp with Allan Donald now during the off season. Marchant is now only 19 years old.

 fair enough, I look forward too see him bowling this summer, not too well obviously haha

De Lange is quality, been impressed by him but Tsotsobe struggles in England with his stint with Essex. Had a dire attitude also apparently.

Yeah Lopsy had some personal issues to deal with in the past. But he has made some major strides in recent months. He has a bit of an attitude though... Maybe Donald and Kirsten will sort that out very quickly as they don't seem like the guys that will take any BS

with Amla, Duminy, Petersen, Peterson, Philander, Tsotsobe in the squad, South Africa's cricket team seems to get a more multi racial team than rugby

what happened to Wayne Parnell?

He's more of a one-day player, He's now in the SA T20 squad that will play in Zimbabwe. But his wayward bowling is not helping his cause.

For tests, we have a lot more guys who play consistantly better than Parnell.

Following the Sri Lanka - Pakistan test match. Sri Lanka played a beautiful first innings (472 runs) with Dilshan and Sangakarra scoringa century. Sanga misisng one run to hit a double century.

Pakistan all bowled out for 100.

Now Sri Lanka scored 137/5 and they declared the over. Now Pakistan is chasing 506 runs.

Go Sri Lanka!!!!

So Zimbabwe has won the Tri-series between South Africa, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, beating SA in the final by a very convincing margin.

The Proteas lost 3 of the matches in this T20 series of which the final was one... With SA resting a bunch of Players like Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Jacques Kallis and AB de Villiers...

One thing for sure is that the choke tag hasn't evaded the Proteas, and that experience is a key ingredient in winning matches, which was lacking with the squad sent to Zim... Nonetheless, its a good way to test some unknown guys out that are fringe players...

Later today Windies- NZ :)

On right now. West Indies got a very formidable 209/2, with Gayle and Pollard in particular smashing it everywhere. New Zealand are doing ok in their chase thus far: 37/0 after 4 overs.

Pollard-Gayle was something else.

I didn't enjoy it in the slightest ;)

NZ 51/1 now - going along pretty well, but Narine still has three overs left.....

EDIT: Taylor retired hurt - not getting any easier!
