Larry says it best.
I reckon pro teams are fairly safe because of the frequency of testing, there's been few enough massive outbreaks and they've reasonably strict bubbles. I'd say morale of the population is a consideration too.View attachment 9040
don't get the last one, what with Premier league players getting it and matches being called off.
Morale is a key point my father goes days/weeks without seeing anyone. He also has few interests outside sport which isn't uncommon in his age group, he kinda does need it for his mental health for something to do/watch. He's been struggling recently with only Wendyball and the odd smattering of rugby. The Cricket tests last summer genuinely gave him something to enjoy last year.I reckon pro teams are fairly safe because of the frequency of testing, there's been few enough massive outbreaks and they've reasonably strict bubbles. I'm happy enough anyway, I've got back into the PL after not taking any not much interest since I was about 14 and Ronaldo was about.
An incredible tool available to everyone is meditation. Loads of apps available like Calm to help peeps stay in the present moment and help with me the health. there's a series on Netflix atm on headspace.Morale is a key point my father goes days/weeks without seeing anyone. Plus as noted as long as testing is good it should be fine and they've proven at elite level it can be done pretty well.
Sounds like this lockdown will last until vaccines are at a certain level (not defined) rather than be based on 'flattening the curve'. I wonder what that make of the new strain it suggests even this lockdown can't contain it.Boris Johnson says that as we take this "giant leap to reclaiming our lives", we have to "contend with the new variant".
It has been spreading with "frightening ease and speed" leading to "more cases than ever before" - and these numbers "cannot be explained away by the meteoric rise in testing".
With the numbers in hospital 40% higher than at the first peak, it is "inescapable the facts are changing, and we must change our response".
There is "no choice" but to return to another lockdown so the new variant can be controlled "until we can take the most likely victims out of its path" with vaccines, says the PM.
From what I've been reading today the vaccine rollout has been a **** show,
