Connacht boosted by new signings

More good news for Connacht is the fact that Jamie Hagan has penned a new two year contract. In my mind he's the second best Irish tighthead behind Mike Ross and should push ahead of Ross before the year is out. With John Hayes likely to retire and both Tony Buckley and Peter Borlase being **** players, Hagan would have made the world of difference to Munster had they chased his signature.

From the perspective of a Leinster fan I'm disappointed with the news as I'd love to have seen him move back here and dovetail with Mike Ross. From Hagan's perspective he's gettig regular gametime which will advance his international career. If Connacht's results don't improve however, I suspect he'll be highly coveted by other clubs and move in two years time.

The Fionn Carr to Leinster move doesn't really look like it's on any more. He may move abroad, but it'd be nice if he stayed in the west.

Agreed Snoop great news for Connacht but I'm disappointed Munster didn't act. He can scrummage and is young and well we need player like him and well bonus is he is Irish. Buckley I think we are all discovering is an impact sub and well isn't getting younger. Borlase could be good yet but his scrummage skills aren't great either and well we need to sort this area of our game out

If Ulster need another tighthead next season, he'd have been by far my favourite signing out of the available.

I hope this doesn't hurt his international chances as I want him playing for Ireland or at least on the bench pretty much straight after the world cup.
