Confirmed Transfers

If that's for next season does that mean Lawrence won't be back any time soon? Feels like he's always injured unfortunately.
Similar injury to what Ford had when he left Tigers - Ford took 9 months to come back but it can take up to 12. 9 months would have him back around Christmas time, I think

Although if that's all the leavers and with how many re-signings they have done I don't blame people for being suspicious
Really?

Annett = Frost
Schreuder >> Van der Linde
Grace + McConnochie > Arundell
Cordwell + DuPlessis + Faiva + Stewart + (Verden*) >> Carreras

Looks like plenty of change in there for the re-signings and academy graduates.

* I'm putting Verden in brackets - I had thought he came in for Griffin's injury, and was using injury dispensation - that's been disputed by some; saying that yes he came in for Griffin's injury, but was in the normal cap - I'm unconvinced.

Won't stop people trying to game the system. You'll always have players being bought houses and cars etc by clubs.
That's not "gaming the system" though - it's outright cheating.

Given the increased audits of everyone, the forensic audit of the champions, and Saracen's relegation - no-one's going to be playing fast and loose.
If anyone thinks they've found a way to pay more, then they will have cleared it with the salary cap commissioner beforehand.
If the clubs learned nothing else from Saracens, it's that "better to ask forgiveness than permission" doesn't apply to the salary cap.

I don't think Bath are gaming but I can understand why people are sus
I think it mostly appears suss because "they look like they're spending more than us" - which, yeah, they're allowed to.
Bath, Leicester, Sarries and possibly Quins are the only ones paying close to the cap.
Exeter, Gloucester & Bristol argue about which of them is spending the 2nd least (after Newcastle).

Not sure about Quins, we're looking really thin in the tight five, could definitely use some back ups. We do have maybe too many internationals though

Should all be available in account, like the NFL.
Anyone can see how much each player is getting in salary.
Easy to understand, even to the point of when each part of contract is paid, say lower in first couple of years, lots in last year, to help come under the cap.

Supposedly we were gonna start spending up to the cap but we've lost four locks this off season and not signed one replacement (yet?)
Unless the younger/academy renewals really cost a lot - I guess the Currys will have had a sizeable payrise

I wonder if Tom and Ben are on the same money?
