Colin Charvis has parted company with Newport Gwent Dragons as the Welsh region's forwards and defence coach, BBC Sport Wales understands.

The 37-year-old, who won 94 Wales caps and was a two-Test 2001 British and Irish Lion, has been at Rodney Parade since joining as a player in 2006.

Charvis became player-coach before hanging up his boots at the end of the 2008/9 season to coach full time.

Wonder where he'll be off to now?
He's done a good job with the forwards at Dragons, wonder if he'll move on to a different coaching job, or move over to do more TV work

More to the point why did he leave!? I heard about this a few days ago and its been bugging me abit because something definitely happened as the article on the bbc website says both parties refused to comment

Heard a rumour Leinster are looking at him
Seconded. I read it somewhere. He did a terrific job with the Dragons pack but wasn't quite so successful with their defence which is the role Leinster are loosely rumoured to want him for. We'll wait and see.

Ive heard a story that he might become the new Wales A coach if they decide on bringing it back.

He allegedly bummed Paul Turner after a cocaine-fuelled night out at Oceana, Cardiff. Allegedly.

And we know this ....

because cyRil is the man who meets all the players in Cardiff

Haha, wouldn't that be a story, what a headline that would be. Had me laughing anyway, don't know why but when I thought of Charvis coked up I just thought of the blackman on Whitechicks when hes blowing the whistle and dancing around but Charvis instead of him lol, don;t know if either of you have watched White Chicks

I am mind! Shook Jamie Roberts' hand last night (prior to getting glassed), and also saw Lee Thomas at the bar.
I was a bit confused cuz I thought he was in France, so I went up to him and had a chat:
"Alright mate, are you Lee Thomas?"
"Yeah I am."
"Cool, I thought you played for Lyon now tho?"
"Aye, it's my weekend off butt!"
"Safe, let's get shteeeaamiiiiiiinnn!!!!"

You got glassed? Or Roberts? Either, i hope there was a beatdown of some sort

Also, Lee Thomases weekend off, he lives in Frances, chooses to skip the warmth and the beach, to go to Oceana in Cardiff? One too many blows to the head, methinks :p

No Olyy Lee Thomas wanted to meet cyRil

Ah, he'd obviously heard the rumours (i say rumours, i mean facts) scrawled across the cubicle walls
"Call cyRil for a good time - NO GIRLS ALLOWED"
"Welsh rugby player? Call cyRil! Sucky sucky - no charge!"
etc. etc. etc.

:p
It was Walkabout actually.
And yes, I got glassed by some Uni prop.
