Oh? I thought we were talking about Danny Cipriani, who's off field issues led to him being dropped and left behind for the Rebels trip to South Africa, which included stealing a bottle of vodka from a bar while out on the ****?

Having been dropped, I believe he realised he had cooked his goose and asked to be 'rescued' from his failed adventure down south, which is the point of this thread.

The fact that he misbehaved off the field and it overshadowed his limited on field endeavours is directly related to his time with the Rebels being a failure.

I think what Olyy is getting at, is the post you quoted, and the answer you gave, were not related. You made a joke about Cipriani taking Vodka when giving a reason for his poor defense. Don't get me wrong, it was comedy gold, but just missing the mark a tad.

He should have another season in Australia and after that I'm pretty sure he will join Bath for a fresh start.
Such a shame he can't ever seem to focus on his rugby, without all his off-field antics he would be a lot further
through his development as an international class player.

Apparently he asked a bouncer in Australia to 'google him' after getting thrown out of a club - douche!
