Hi, I have suffered with bad shoulders for a while now, i dislocated my left shoulder numerous times and have since had surgery, i have also dislocated my right shoulder twice, ( possibly bad genetics ).

I am back to doing a lot of weight lifting and hopefully should be able to start playing around December/January time.

Does anyone know of anything ie, exercises/warm ups to do before playing

And also if anyone knows if the Vulkan Shoulder Supports would help, or any variation.

Thanks very much for any help...

PS. I play in the back row....

Alot of rotator cuff work, stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6MMD5L7498

That should help stabilize and strenghten your shoulder, I assume during your surgery they fixed ur capsule?

Just keep the weightlifting up and try rotator cuff work if you weren't already doing it, thats all I can think off?

Thanks for the help,
i had no Labrum left (what the doctors said), so they replaced the cartilage that was missing and done a tuck and pin on muscles/tendons etc, i have a scar running from the top of my shoulder down the front to the arm pit.
