Challenge Cup 25/26 - Megathread

As a Tier2er that group for Black Lion looked qualifiable until I saw they don't get Scarlets and Mountbatten is away not at home. Zebre not great who knows what team . Maybe one possibly two wins there.

Got back from Lyon yesterday, what a result for the Red Bulls. So proud of the lads to come away from Lyon with that result.

The big one of the weekend...

Cardiff v Ulster.

I couldnt make it to the gane, had the kids to cover the missus Xmas work do, so poured a whisky, and sat on a medicine ball in front of the TV to watch Cardiff get outmuscled

6 minutes in and Gerorge North has gone in untouched out wide, when did his wheels return and when did he sign for Cardiff...

Jokes, it was George Knott, lock from 30 yards out at incrrdible pace

Tom Bowen denied a worldy on 12 minutes...

Ulster a bit lucky, Cardiff looking sharp ball in hand, oh no its being allowed...

Cardiff lucky to get that call.

Good work from Ulster at the breakdown, unlucky not to get 2 pens before that holding on pen.

Ulster right winger is a massive lump but a bit of a donky.

Uslter beating themselves here...

Attacking lineout malfuncitoned attacking structures after 5 phases falls apart, they just seem too desperate.

If Ulster take a breath and just patiently go through the phases and systems theyll break cardiff down

FFS Cardiff give away 7, looking vracking ball in hand then Sheedy drops a big one in midfield to an Ulsterman in untouched.

Ulster have a massive kicking and power advantage, but when Cardiff get a platform and get beyond 4 phases Ulster open up like an Irish hooker whos been flashed a tenner

Ulster get out of dodge, and then overpkay again in theirnown half and knock on!

Why? They must know they have Cardiff in the air, and the power game, so why play 6 phases in their own half?
