Amazed a thread hasn't come up about this yet.

So, so far (Wanky wanky) Warrington gave Brian Nobles Wigan a lesson and booked their trip to Wembley;

Wigan 26-39 Warrington

Warrington held off a second-half Wigan fightback to reach their first Challenge Cup final since 1990 after a thrilling victory.

INVISIBLE SANDWICH!

----------------------------------------------

Next up, Saints vs Huddersfield

Looks properly good challenge cup tie. Thought after the first 20 mins that Wigan would **** it. Then, I fell asleep thanks to waking up very very drunk at 5am to go to work this morning. I only caught the other bits of the game when Jonathan Davies' got excited and squeaky and woke me up temporarily.

Hopefully I can catch St Helens vs Huddersfield tomo. I really can't get enough of Kyle Eastmond, everytime I watch the Super League Show he makes me jism. He and Leon Pryce make a 7-6 pairing that is beautiful to watch.

I didn't start a thread because I am superstitious. However, we may well lose tomorrow, but at least the vermin are only going to Wembley if they can't get a refund on their train tickets.

Cracking match today, first league match i've watched in ages
Thought wigan were going to pull it back in the 2nd half, but Warrington gave it some welly

Just got a call from work saying i'm not needed in tomorrow, so i'm looking forward to tomorrows match as well

Another brilliant match,
Again, i thought st. helens would pull it back
Can't wait for the final now
My (hypothetical) money's on warrington, but it's going to be a cracker

If they tackle like they did today it'll be hard to beat Huddersfield. We were poor but they deserved their win. And yes, Eastmond is lightning quick! Needs to calm down and stop trying to win the match all by himself though.

Jesus Eastmond reminds me of a young Rooney.

Absolutely out on his feet, carrying an injury but still trying his heart out. And also, you know someone's going to be special when aged 20 in a high calibre game like this, everytime they get the ball they look like they can make something happen. Burrow and Long have been around for a while but when it comes to internationals I'd certainly have Eastmond in the squad and maybe even think about putting him in as a fullback. Coming off the bench he could really change a game; there's no defence that can be coached to counter raw pace and dynamism when it's tired.

But St Helens' best player was... Kieron Cunningham. Really noticeable when he was off the field.

And why does Crabtree only start as an interchange? I can understand using him in short spurts, but I'd always start him. He looks the most effective prop in Super League atm.

Otherwise, Meli was good and I reckon, despite the shite tackle for Meli's first try, everything I see of Cudjoe is good. Obviously Hodgson had a cracker.

The bigger props tend to start on the bench so they can come off and have a go at tired defences.

I love matty king but ffs don't scores tries against us. Haven't followed the ESL much since channel 9 got there filthy paws on it here in Australia.

Watched my first full English league game last night. It was very entertaining but a lot of mistakes. It's like the teams that do well over there are comparable to Wests Tigers, Rabbitohs and the like, who are capable of racking up big scores, but they will rarely threaten for the ***le in the NRL because they're too ill disciplined, make too many mistakes and have unorganised defence.

Well if you were watching the Challenge cup final then that would be about right - Warrington and Huddersfield are both sides who probably won't hit the Grand Final, but will have solid seasons nonetheless. Huddersfield especially are having a great season - Crabtree's been awesome at prop and players like Kevin Brown and Brett Hodgson are highly accomplished. Not to mention they've got a great pair of wingers in David Hodgson and Leroy Cudjoe. And when you think that Warrington's pack is incredible, plus they have Briers and Matt King in the backs, and you had a really tasty matchup.

Basically Super League has 2 teams, St Helens and Leeds, who would be well up there in the NRL. But what's been great about super league this year is both these two have lost surprisingly, and Huddersfield, Hull KR, Wigan and Wakefield and at times Warrington have all been able to put together really competitive teams to challenge the top 2.
