What the media are really quiet about in this country is the MASSIVE AMOUNT OF MONEY FFR ARE SQUANDERING on hairbrained projects like the revamping of Marcroupis, and now their 600 M euro stadium that this country does NOT need. http://grandstaderugby.fr/

There is absolutely nothing in today's Top 14 money that comes anywhere close to 600 M euros. This is more than DOUBLE the entire budget of ALL Top 14 clubs combined for one season. Insanity.

FFR will go into 300 M debt for their new stadium. How is that possible for an amateur sports federation to rack up that amount of debt?!

Juste something read on page 47 of the report:

À noter que, peu après la clôture du débat public, le conseil général de l’Essonne a vu sa note dégradée par l’agence Standard and Poor’s. Dans les motifs invoqués par l’agence de notation, celle-ci s’inquiète des importantes garanties d’emprunt liées au projet de grand stade de rugby, qui pourraient peser encore plus négativement sur les finances.

"To note that, just after the end of public proceedings, the Essonne's departement council has seen its mark degraded by Standard and poor's. The official FFR figure as of now is 600 M euros. It's very likely they'll go over budget so yes we could see +700 or +800M. In today's economy: Pure insanity.

The location is 33 Km outside of Paris. Ris Orangis is a DIVE of a place . Everything shuts down by 7 pm.

There is not a chance in this world I will travel to that dump to watch les Bleus make a show of themselves. Many fans will happily watch on TV.

Ernest Wallon over here is a far livelier place with a true rugby team on the pitch.........

This is FFR flexing their muscles and spending money they do NOT have on a stadium this country does NOT need.
