PUMA has signed a long-term deal to supply full technical kit to both the Vodacom Blue Bulls and Vodacom Bulls rugby teams.

PUMA South Africa’s CEO Ronald Rink says: “PUMA has significant ambitions on the rugby field and partnering with the Vodacom Bulls, who are recognised globally as South Africa’s rugby powerhouse, is a giant step towards realising our goals. PUMA is proud to be associated with this world class brand and we wish these superb athletes the best of luck during the upcoming Currie Cup tournament.â€

Supporters will be able to purchase the new Vodacom Blue Bulls fanwear from 17 June 2011.

Similar to the Cheetahs jersey and I love it. I am a massive Canterbury fan with that nice swirl but Puma decided to double it up haha. A swirl both ways

Hey guys what does the flower on the jersey symbolize?

I don't know if/what it symbolizes but the red Barberton daisy is the emblem of Noord Transvaal (province), now Limpopo province, rugby in CC rugby. The Cape still has it's red disa on the WP jersyes while old Natal province had a Wildebeest as emblem. There has been a drive to consolidate the CC and S15 identities for marketing reasons with only the Western Province really keeping distinction between the brands, although the new white stripes on the S15 jersey is a nod in the same direction.

Nice jersey, but most of the Puma shirts are really tight and have shorter sleeves than CCC.
Still a fan of the gilberts :)

I still love the Canterbury design from 2009 the Sharks had. It's sad we switched to Reebok, having plain simple designs.

The chiefs have Adidas and Waikato Kukri ( altho I love my Union shirt).
Will the Bulls play in that red shirt they used a couple of weeks ago?

The Bulls in red, haha. That was the biggest joke of the year. A sponsor that lets them play in the colors of the biggest rival haha

You shouldn't laugh with it. They actually did. And on a further note.
the super rugby side is called Vodacom/ Vodaphone ( always forget how they are called) and not Blue Bulls like in Currie rugby ;)

But this is the shirt for the provincial team, not the Super Rugby franchise

The Blue Bulls have always had a nice, simple design. Just a sky-blue shirt with a logo and sponsor, that's it. Sharks the same thing. The Natal Sharks have a black jersey with a white horizontal bar, while the Super Rugby franchise has a commercial design every year which has no historic value.

I just wish some of their supporters would wear the actual jersey.

Everytime the bulls play a knock-out fixture in Durban, there are sooo many Bulls supporters that pitch up without a top, with their body painted Blue, those fake giant nose rings and such. They halt traffic and slosh their beer around as though they own the place. (Despite not having won siad knock-out fixture in how long)

Now, normally I would have no problem with one supporting his/ her team, but the problem arises when none of the topless fans are women, and all the men look like they're pushing the 200 kg barrier!

The jersey design is almost too simple for me, if I were nasty I would say it suits them ;)

I also would be interested in further explanation, I know very little about the Currie Cup teams and how they relate to the Super teams
