Bring back the mongrel

What do you think?

Bring back Umaga to harden up the all blacks backline and provide some experience.

Seems like a major problem to me - not enough experience in the AB backline.
If we play Aussie in the knockout stages, experience of Gregan, Larkham, Stirlo and Latham could be a telling factor.

As for bringing back Carlos - that is just sensible.

he should play well at inside centre as he has good experience in passing to mortlock at outside centre

Flavell is a real mongrel. He'll step on your face and smile at you while doing it.

Rua Tipoki has Mongrel. He'll elbow you in the head without even thinking twice about it.

Too much mongrel can be costly though. However you still need to havve that mongrel in the team though.

I think we lost the last world cup final because we lacked the mongrel to beat up that english pack.. Finegan was our last great mongrel.. i saw that bloke ruck michael foley's face in a domestic game on purpose when they were both wallabies... hehe..

Justin Harrison was slightly mongrel.. more of a ****ler tho..
ATM we just dont have any mongrel.. i want it back tho.. Elsom has the potential to be the hardman..

For me the best mongrel in rugby at the moment has to be Burger.. puts so much in, totally unapollogetic, and seriously ****ling.. gotta love to hate him...

Waugh definitely has mongrol in him...NOT thuggery mongrel, but RAW mongrel that specialist open side flanker's get tagged for having... You dont necessarily need to be big a tuff to be re known to have mongrel. You lay your body on the line and not be afraid to get stuck into the ruff stuff week in week out.... Waugh definitly has mongrel
