Great shout. Not only did he help give the pack a harder edge but he's made an impact after he left too. Firstly he organised for a couple of academy props to play in South Africa to gain experience. While neither Ruaidhri Murphy nor Royce Burke Flynn made it with Leinster subsequently, it was a worthwhile exercise. It's also been suggested that Ollie Le Roux is a de facto Leinster scout in South Africa. He was supposedly heavily involved in the recruitment of Richardt Strauss and his advice was also listened to when it came to picking up Heinke van der Merwe. Both have been outstanding successes. Hopefully Steven Sykes is an equally good recruit.

Warwick would certainly be Classed a good import. Would Stan Wright be in Leinsters mind too

I'd say the leading contenders are:

Nacewa and Rocky Elsom for Leinster.
Rush, ***o and Blair for the Blues.
Howlett for Munster.
Filo Tiatia and Holah for Ospreys.
King for Scarlets.

Out of them, I'd possibly eliminate Elsom (awesome impact, not long enough stay to be considered the best import), ***o (good player, but not great), Holah (went missing in too many important games) and possibly Howlett (great signing for Munster nevertheless). Rush's dissapointing season also puts him out of the running for me, despite the fact that he's been awesome up untill now.

So, Nacewa, Blair, Tiatia or King. Probably slight bias towards imports to Welsh regions, but they're simply the teams I watch the most. It's difficult to choose between them really. Nacewa benefits from being part of a more successful team, but he's been an important part of that success. The other three have been or were big players for their respective teams for a number of years, and have been consistently awesome. I'm gonna go for King though, and I can't give a propper answer as to why, I've simply enjoyed every moment of watching him play.

no, Rocky is not sub standard, you just have too high expectations of him, he's been injured a lot since he came back and has taken time to come back but he is still quality

without him you Aussies would have to pick Richard Brown or Scott Higginbotham at 6, is that really what you want?

You definitely haven't seen Higgers play this season. The Reds backrow is one of the best in the S15: Higginbotham ss likely to grab a spot for the WC, and some people are asking for Samo to be selected again and for Beau Robinson to play some 3N in order to be selected for the WC.
