I'm too lazy to do an exact count, but that looks like Sale are playing less Englishmen than they are Englishmen, which is pretty shat tbh.

4 starting, 4 bench

Brap brap

I don't really care, to be honest, I'd rather a team of non-England players than be the team known for plaguing English rugby with Matt Banahan

15 of the players are from the UK, so that's good enough for me (and two from Ireland)

We'e only got three non english players in the entire 23. Of our squad 11 are Bath Academy products... which isn't too bad a representation for "our" boys.

Apparently we've lost Donald which will make the next month pretty rubbish.

Woohoo... 100th post

for a team which is supposedly one of the richest in England Bath have a fair amount of crap in their team, Sale should win

Sale should win

It's one of the better Sale sides to have been put out this season. Vadim Cobilas should be starting over Buckley, 100%.
Glad to see Gaskell finally not starting - think he's started (and played 80) of all the prem matches this season - his form barely warrants a bench spot. Would rather Ostrikov on the bench over him as well.

Not convinced by Cueto, been really bad since he's come back from England - and I mean REALLY bad. Remember him dropping the ball in our 22 once, under no pressure, he wasn't even sprinting, just dropped it. Another time the ball was passed to him and it just went right through his hands and into our in goal area, leaving other players to scramble back to prevent a try - ridiculous. Hopefully he's over that now though....if not then we've got Amesbury, Higgins, Brady, Addison and Burrell who all know how to catch a ball

you may get away with Buckley in this match, did you see Montpellier destroy Bath's scrum?

That was only in the 2nd half wasn't it? I'm sure Baths was on top in the first half (though I may well be thinking of an Aviva match that that happened)

Either way, I'd genuinely say Buckley is the worst tighthead in the prem, so I'm not expecting much/anything from the scrum - It's just going to give Bath territory and/or 3pointers all night
Hopefully Barkley forgets his kicking boots

Some of that is shite but considering were running on empty in some positions its not bad anyways

2. Will Tanner
20. James Tyas
21. Chris Cook

This lot are all academy playersm Cook is class, other two I don't know about.

13. Matt Banahan
6. Josh Ovens
17. Charlie Beech

This lot are decent enough at club level, Banahan especialy. Beech is doing pretty well in the loose and Ovens is pretty solid and has been scoring tries aplenty for briss.

15. Jack Cuthbert
9. Michael Claassens
1. David Flatman
16. Chris Biller
18. Anthony Perenise

This lot, I'll accept are either in shite form, yet to prove themselves or just plain shite. Claassens is especially poor ATM.

Out of interest why are they still even playing Buckley? It was in the second half our scrum got totally dominated, which is standard. Most of the time its ok for the first 40 and then totally abismal penalty try style for the last half.

I'm not sure who'll do the kicking Barkley hasn't had much in the way of practice and Heathcote can do it on a good day.

I'm hoping it's last chance saloon
I think this is only his 2nd start in the main squad (got a couple in the 'A' league) - when Henry Thomas got binned last week they brought on Cobilas instead of Buckley for the 10 (and he held the scrum up better with 7 men than Thomas or Buckley have all season...) and every time Buckley has been on he's been poor. Not even offering anything in the loose atm, he doesn't drive in the contact so makes no ground/punches no holes. Not acceptable for a prop/a man of his size/strength

It really annoys me how Cobilas isn't starting every game he can - he is head and shoulders above every other prop we have, in scrummaging. He can play either side of the scrum well, though tighthead is his main position, and that's also the side we get crunched at every bloody game.
Even his first ever game at loose head he was winning penalties against Dan Cole - I know Dan Cole has gone down hill a bit, but considering Cobilas was a semi-pro player in Russia until a few months ago, that's pretty impressive.
At this rate he'll drop off the radar completely when Sheridan is fit again.

Yeah, has a hip injury
Presumably just a ****le, but they want to rest him because of the Leinster match next week

He's injured, hip problem.

I think the best thing that Bath rugby can do for my christmas is sack McGeechan. Since he's come he's sacked our attack coach and not replaced him and consequently we can't attack. The only coach he brought in was Rowntree, for a weekend from all I can tell. Consequently we play like bunch of 12 year olds, oh and as for making Hooper captain.

Fair play to Sale they won it fair and sqaure though.
