Are there any Farmers/Hunters on here that could lend me a gun?

Head over to the mill but as i said there I feel sorry for you.

Are the Irish props erally all that useless at scrum time or is this just the current general perception?

Not all of them are but Buckley and Hayes take the biscuit, really

This must mean that Karena Wihongi is off at the end of the season - Replacing him with Buckley = :(

This could only be topped by ROG signing for the Saints.

I'm absolutely delighted for you :) Great signing (for Munster)

The blind optimism on the "SaleRugby" message boards is sickening,
They're all saying this is a great signing and our scrum will be worldclass with him and Sheridan (2x props who can't scrummage? yay!!!)

Buckley might learn to scrummage there though. Gert Smal thinks he can still be best 3 in world. :p
But I really think this might be good for Tony anyway. Roger Wilson, Neil Best and Tommy Bowe left Ulster mediocre players.
Some guys just react better when taken out of comfort zone

I'm hoping and praying that working with our scrum coach can improve him - but our scrum is hardly world class as it is =/
Rumours are now going around the Eifion Lewis-Roberts is being allowed out of his contract 2years early because he's missed all of this season through injury
Aaaaallllsssoooo a 3 year contract for Buckley is a big gamble - Should've offered him 1 and seen if he improves (though maybe he said 3years or nothing)

Buckley probably said 3 Years I'd guess as when he was dealing with us stability was what he wanted and we couldn't give it.
But let's not forget we don't have a great scrum coach and he's only been here over year so Buckley may improve with a respected coach

Steve Scott is not a great scrum coach. He's a reasonable lineout director but that's about it.

Olly what I will say is he'll only be poor in the scrum if he is left get away with it. Not sure how many teams would have tolerated the poor scrummaging performances Mushy has given over the years. He may be forced to improve.

That exactly my point darbutter he'll be out of comfort zone and I think he will be fine with Sale. But in the loose Mushy and Sheridan could do damage

Is there any truth in the rumour that Munster are paying Buckley's entire salary so that he f*cks off to Sale?! Buckle hasn't earned that nickname for no reason. He's an awful prop. He couldn't scrummage at Connacht, can't scrummage for Munster and can't scrummage for Ireland. Why do some believe he'll magically learn to scrummage for Sale at the age of 30?

Would not repeat that one in the hearing of long-term Ulster fans...

That said, I'd heard a lot of people going on about how he'd improved at the start of this season and he had. I still think he did it illegally but he did manage to get the better of Roncero. Just needs to be a bit more consistent to do his job really.

Also, bright spot, Buckley and Sheridan lifting together in the lineout should get some players very high...

Easy way to beat Sale then: Run the ball at them instead of playing percentages and force knock-ons when they have the ball.

While I can agree with it Snoop I'd also say he's never had proper coaching.
All he has to do is just an adequate job and because he has 0 expectations there

If he goes in with that sort of attitude when Steve Diamond is involved, I expect he'll be for rather then at Sale before long.

I just think Sale should give him a chance then in December if it same old Buckley then slate him. But I think when he is out of comfort zone then MAYBE he might produce displays.

Irish fans don't be laughing either or I'll get the Bull to stay on after World Cup and keep his green 3 shirt :p
