Another Gavin Henson thread!

There is no way this is a signing to replace Houggaard. Henson hasn't played [strike]rugby[/strike] 10 for years; Goode was picked out to start at 10 at the beginning of the season and we've got some youngsters about too.

Saracens are very keen on expanding their fanbase and Henson is the sort of signing that might draw non-rugby fans along. So it sort of makes sense from that perspective. He's also, potentially, a world class player - which Saracens lack in the backs, so again it makes sort of sense.

And from his point of view, moving to London will do wonders for his media career.

Anyway, I'm not too excited about this signing as there's so much that goes on. What I can say is that Saracens has a team who are all very happy to be there and well looked after by the coaching staff. Maybe this will do him some good.

So that settles that then and Sarries are without a fly half until Hougaard is fit again. Their salary cap will make for interesting reading when the numbers are released.

IF he gets back to his best over this season, I'm very exited to see him play. Saracens is a good team for him imo.

well hes just signed according to the news.. He'll start as soon as he finishes with strictly.

Mite, I dunno what your beef is with Henson playing 10. He's played in that position most during his career. The last time I saw him play fly-half, he scored a hattrick and won MOTM, so he can't be that bad.

That's the worst attempt of The Worm i've seen in years!
He's no Scotty 2 Hotty:

Glad he is showing enthusiasm for the game.
Wish him all the best, and that he will be wearing the red jersey come February.

My girlfriends got Strictly on, and in all of the clips of Henson he's got various Saracens gear on (even got the knee high socks on when practising) - wonder if they put that in his contract :p
