Amlin Challenge Cup 2013/14 Quarter Finals

I think Glos are on a bit of an upward turn of form - both games should be good.

Was going to spend the afternoon in the sofa watching three games back to back.

But my amazing wife has just informed me that we have tickets for the Wasps game as an early birthday surprise!

She has been in contact with Joe Launchbury (we met him at a photoshoot thing last year). She is driving me up there, meet up in the Players Lounge, watch the game, chat to the players afterwards, then she's driving me home again.

Sorry, if this comes across boastful it is not meant that way, but just wanted to share my excitement and public ally thank my wife to the people who matter in the rugby world - TRF!

COYW!

Is this the greatest quote ever by anyone ?

I certainly hope not.

Mumbles, congrats man, that's got to be awesome. Hopefully you don't get star-struck. I saw the guy from Saw once and couldn't tell him the things I walked up to him to tell him. I was the most average fan of all-time just asking for a pic...got the pic. That's that...

Big fan of Eastmond. Lovely player. I actually love watching Bath play. Ive watched a few of their ganes this year. Very exciting backline, and a nice loose defence so their games are always exciting.

The game was won at half time and we loosened our grip a little by the time he came on - so he didn't get very much ball but what he did do was good.
Having a few games at 10 will hopefully give him some confidence in his kicking game - which I think the England coaches probably want to see.

lol'ing slightly at this picture showing just how MASSive Attwood is

Yep. That is what I did too.

I met Elliot Daly, and was a completely average fan too, asked for a picture, then was struck dumb and grinning like an idiot, said thanks and that was it.

oh God..there's worse........I'm a metalhead, so I go to yet another metal concert (this is back in Montreal, the good days, when I was young and innocent..) and meet Johan Hegg (vocalist from swedish band Amon Amarth) and I had nothing better to think of than going up to him and saying...aww God, so fkn embarassing.....(I'm cracking up as I write this):
"Hey, your name is Johan huh ?....me too."
...
and he goes like "oh !...."

.....

In my mind I was going towards the whole 'interesting how french and swedish share common names huh, small world blah blah...' but that's all that came out with all the noise and him having to sign so many concert tickets...God...never gets old. I feel the embarrassment every time I say it !!! :p

Met Sonny Parker once quite a few years back, pre-TRF days.
Stuck his hand out and said "Hi, I'm Sonny", I shook it and quietly replied 'I know'. Still, got a picture with him so there's that.

I thought Henson looked very good today, he just looks so relaxed on the ball and straightens the line better than anyone i've ever seen. I'd love to see him get a run at 13, but Devoto is looking excellent there.
